  1. No wake laws only apply to boats with small beams from what I have observed in the channel. I guess we will have to keep a closer eye on you cut down on all that channel commotion.
  2. Timing is everything! What did your king weigh?
  3. 19lb king is still quite a prize!
  4. Port Sheldon am, 8-30-17 1 for 2. Lines in the water at 7:50. 1st hit at 9:30, DR down 77ft, 2.6 sog, nw troll, in 143 fow, ball temp 49.7, on speckled dick meat rig, spit hook out on way to boat. 2nd hit 11:17 am, on mtn dew crush SD with green meat rig using walker wonderbread diver back 180, set 3, SE troll, 2.3 sog, in 128 fow a 9.64# laketrout. Brad join me today also. I thought 3 more rods would help. Bite has gotten a little tough lately. Pulled lines at 11:45am.
  5. What a great catch and good timing on a triple! Love the pics!
  6. An 8 lb. coho is still pretty good in rough seas. Thanks for the report.
  7. Unless it is calm, I tend to add a foot to the bouy reading. Once I'm out there it seems to be pretty close to what the conditions really are in most cases.
  8. PORT SHELDON 8:30-12 I didn't think I was going out today because of last night rain predicted for Monday. When I woke up at 7:30 looked at the bouy cam and rain that didn't happen. I moved as quick as I could to finally get my three lines in the water by 8:30. 8:34 am bang 18.17# king (male) in 142 fow on rigger 132 down, with a yellow speckled dick meat rig, nw troll, ball temp 50.6. Went 1 for 4 after that, last hit took my NBK green paddle, green menace fly and slider when the line broke while I was reeling him in. Ouch ($20)! Still great to get out.
  9. Good report and catch. Normally I don't go out on a weekend, but they were saying a storm was possible Monday. Boat traffic was terrible. I could barely make a turn. Got shoved out to 190-212 where I picked off a couple of small cohos (5#) and called it a day after a couple of hours. Both were on spoons off DRs as sliders. XG Ghost buster and Smurf on them, N troll, 2.6. Now I remembered why I fish during the week.
  10. Great fishing! Good detailed report.
  11. My ball temps varied with my location, depth and current. Last time out there was a 50 temp that ran from 84-95 feet down, but I was more off holland than PS. I use PS bouy as a guide only, but in general they are close. Current was a big factor in my ball temp this last time. It only took a few feet difference to get substantial changes in reading. I'll check near the bouy when I'm nearby there next time. If you have a Fishawk TD you can tie it to a weight on a fishing pole and drop it down to the bottom and get temp and depth every 5ft no matter where your at. Their good to 300ft.
  12. It was a great day.Good to hear you on the radio. Real nice catch.
