fished last wed-sat out of manistee limit first 2 days 3rd day only 2 lake was pretty rough 4th day ended up with 5 all in all great trip green ladder back plugs worked well white big weenie pig rig and moonshine spoons fished 135ft of water on a north troll wire dipseys out 150-200 and 300 45lb copper took most fish

spent last week in olcott ny pulled up a friends 27ft sportcraft fished 450 ft of water most of the week about 80 down was the best moonshine spoons worked well and spin doctor called lemon ice weather was great only could not get out one day 27lb fish was the biggest out of the 65 we caught

sunday we made the 40 mile 2 hour boat trip from marblehead ohio to 13 miles straight south of wheatley ontario picked up 5 steelhead including this 13lb 32 inch one watermelon spoon gold back and orange spoon front and back took fish on dipseys out 100ft.

since we were only 2 miles from the canadian border and there is no ohio waters salmon report section put report here saturday 4 of us fished 14 miles straight out of avon oh on lake erie ended up 15 for 15 steelhead and 2 little walleyes had a hard time keeping white bass off our lines thats one thing thats nice about lake michigan and ontario no junk fish to worry about downriggers down 40 slide divers with big ring out 125 speed 2.5 flies were horrible and it was hot but sure was nice to catch some salmon so close to home
