thanks for looking guys Any one up in Michigan want a closer Look? been thinking about moving it to our Eau Claire show room (rite by benton harbor) two reasons for the move I can take chicago customers up there to look at it inside aheated building (wont fit in my building here) And some michigan customers might be more likely to come have a look at it if they did not have to go all the way to Chicago its a good chance to see some thing different than whats normally seen around here even if you never buy one you might be able to tell some one about them thats looking at a new boat I JUST DONT WANT TO HEAR THIS AGAIN " Woa! I wish i would have seen one of these before i bought brnd X" -
So the wife wanted this pontoon boat now its for sale

When it comes to these postings I just need to move this one along to have time to build another bigger one for moma before summer gets here want to simply re coop the money i put into this one the labor was worth it finding out for sure if this set up would be enjoyable enough to spend a lot more cash on a bigger one bigger motor ect . quite sure it would not be a problem what so ever technology like this when available should not go unused it drastically reduces the response time or any rescue effort also remember if the gps unit is not ON or it gets a poor/intermittent signal the radio can not send your coordinates HAPPY HOLIDAYS

AIS works when both boats are registered and on the same system we have all thesse goodies on our demo boat to show people how they work best to stay far away from shipping lanes in the fog or have a good radar the comercial traffic has to stay in the shipping lanes when traveling from port to port even then a barge tow cable will not show up on radar a simple cheap radar reflector may be you best safety device to make sure the big ships see us in the fog but then again some one has to be looking at the radar screen these big ships can easily run you over and never realize it STAY OUT OF THE SHIPPING LANES IN THE FOG

Time to put it back on trailer This can be tricky but with the rite tools not bad . Because it will be sitting on the trailer all winter we put some wax paper on the bunks to make sure there will not be any sticking problems lot of work but with this paint there is no max splash time like MOST of the copper base bottom paints out there = THIS MEANS IF YOU DONT GET THE BOAT IN THE WATER WITH IN 60 DAYS OF PAINTING THE BOTTOM THE PAINT LOOSES ITS ABILITY TO DO ITS JOB! But thru THIS process/ ECO ULTIMA/ of painting the hull and paint must stay at least 55 deg YES EVEN WHEN DRYING BUT When spring comes it will be ready and next fall it will be a easy clean up job it a big expense to do it rite but if a boat is going to stay in the water its the only way to go huge time and effort saver the whole summer long will pay for itself in fuel savings alone with a lot of guys that actually use their boats with aluminum boat there really is no safe way to paint bottoms with and metal/copper based bottom paints if metal based bottom paints are not properly applied to aluminum boats it can VOID your hull warranty -

its is a epoxy primer aluma protect from pettet paints we use 4" and 5" foam mini rollers with the long handle roller frame The hard work is the surface prep / sanding but even thats not bad with the rite tools rolling the paint on goes fast with bottom paints you have to pay close attention to hull temperatures dry time and recoat intervals some paints there is only a 30-90 day window the boat has to be launched in so read the labels closely and when there is a question call the paint manufacturer make sure you do it rite or else you will have to strip it all off and start over -

This would be for for any aluminum boat that would benefit from Anti fouling bottom paint Bare aluminum will require a epoxy primer Most painted aluminum boat we can apply bottom paint with out a primer Bottom paint with out copper or any other metal base anti fouling paint is better for aluminum hulls and Eliminates the need for multiple barrier coats and even with barrier coats metal base paints can cause galvanic corrosion and are not the best choice for aluminum boats -
Some thing we never recommended in the past But now With new Econea technology from Pettet Paints there is a NON metallic Bio side paint the wont hurt the aluminum Its also a true multiple year paint step #1 may be the hardest getting the boat off the trailer to gain access to the bottom #2 clean and strip the aluminum with a 80 grit sand paper or a sandblaster #3 immediately apply the first coat of Pettet aluma protect epoxy primer following closely the time windows for 3 total coats of primer #4 coats of Pettet ultamate eco Econea bottom pait paying colse attention to the application windows including temperture requirements = a long happy boating season with a clean bottom ultimate eco is a ablative paint that wears off on its own this means no sanding off a built up of old paint to apply future coats just wash clean let dry and roll on another coat of paint Also econea paints have no maximum launch periods so you can prep your bottom in the fall when you pull the boat and be 100% ready for spring http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q22/hondacat522/Bottom%20Paint%20on%20A%2024ft%20Alaskan/12-8A6600C2-549396-960.jpg

With this set up in the picture above 150' with 100% reliability with the big john set up where you dont need any bare wire 200' yes we use ss connectors we also will use charging system filters when needed and never route the signal cable over the rigger motor or by and speakers or with and hot wires that cary a charging system current these will all interfeer with signal quality and strenth we dont install a lot of depth raiders or any other that use coated signal carring cable the fish hawk x4 has raised the bar when it comes to speed and temp probes and after you have to change a coated cable a couple times the price savings is gone as soon as the coating gets beat up or starts cracking frome use or old age you signal reliability is gone and its time for a new cable These are all great tools when used properly and understanding what they are telling us as in the pictures below Its amazing what kind of currents you can have as in these here on a flat calm day with out the speed and temp probe fishing on a day like this speed wise would be pure luck you would not think this could be posible on such a calm day but the numbers dont lie you can see on the graff where we where checking temps and speeds at different depths by the time we got the down speed dialed in we where at speed over ground .9 to get a 2.3 speed at the ball then it was GAME ON doubles and tripples filled the box quick

clinchers should be reusable you just have to push it apart with a screw driver this is a cannon set up we have to leave some bare cable to make the auto stops work with the big jon we leep the cable coverd and the tail out of the clichers gets a bullet splice to the probe to make it easily removable

Ed can you email me some pictures ? [email protected] i had a 1999 i sold with 200k miles in it and it is still ridding around I was on my 3rd transmishion though i had a 5.7 motor

use the scotty beads in place of the crimps put the antena as close to the cable reel as pisible so the stop bead does not have to go thru it one great reason to use a fish hawk over any thing with a coated cable no coated cable to deal with or the antena that the cable has to pass thru
