  1. I have run 8 to 50 foot leaders on my coppers and taken multiple fish on these lengths. I prefer 25 to 35 foot leaders. I have tried multiple kinds of leader and they all work so far but each has advantages and disadvantages.
  2. I sharpen all hooks on my boat and use the fingernail test. I have found this makes a big difference. Between landing fish and losing them. Also help newbies by coaching them on keeping slack out of the line. This is probably the number one way to lose a fish.
  3. Yes I have them they work ok but take a little getting use to. I have seen them at Northwoods on the east side of the state or you can order them online. Not sure anywhere around Holland carries the stacker or at least I have yet to see them.
  4. I have also seen this on my Garmin many times and would like to know what it is.
  5. Thank you for the report and nice box of fish. I need to get up there again one of these weekends.
  6. I found everyday is different. Some days uv works great and other days I can't get a bite on it. Earlier this year I had the same bait in uv and regular and only one took several fish and the other never had a bite. Both baits we at the same depth.
  7. The boat is sold!
  8. Fished with a buddy from work going 3 for 4. Had 2 kings and a coho in 90 FOW. Blue Dolphin and Blue Dolphin UV on rigger about 52 to down and blue in chrome with a little green on the 300 copper. North and NE troll was the only way we could get a bite.
  9. You might check eBay. There is a place in Indiana that's got just about everything but I can't rember the name Panborn's or Vans recommend them when I was looking for a lower unit last year. Just keep looking and they will pop up. I seen several for mine in about a months time last year.
  10. Made it out for a quick trip last night going 1/3. yellow and black spoon down 60 on the rigger and white paddle with pickled sunshine fly about 115 down. Fished 105 to 130 most of the time but fish seem very scattered from 80 to 135 FOW but I didn't go deeper so not sure what's out there.
  11. I just froze mine last year and they worked great. Make sure to keep them as cold as possible till they are ready to use.
  12. I think dive bombs and different length coppers would work better for target dive parts of the water column. I also believe 32 lb. copper has a slower drop rate when the boat turns and stays in the strike zone longer.
  13. The boat is not a hard top.
  14. I have found most scents help only a little. However if you get suntan lotion on your lures it can hurt them. It think the fish can smell it and are repelled by it.
  15. Congrats Ben and nice box of fish!
  16. Phone number is (586) 634-2558
  17. Yes I have pictures of the boat just haven't been able to get them posted for some reason. It's located down near Detroit. It's my aunt in laws boat. I posted it on here for her as I thought it would make a good fishing boat for someone.

  19. 5/5 1 for 3 plus a knock off. regular and small spoons in green, yellow black, orange. All had glow and silver backs. I didn't mark any fish or bait on the graph. Hits were on the 150 copper, 3 color and rigger down 80 feet. Fished from 40 to 90 Fow. 5/6 0/1 had a good one on using orange and gold spoon up on the surface. Marked fish everywhere and at all different depths out to 80 fow and blank pass that.
  20. Friday night went 0/1 on a green dolphin on a diver 90 back. Saturday night 2/2 fished for a little over 2 hours and took both kings on yellow and chrome with cracked ice spoon 120 back on a high diver in 85 fow.
  21. I think a lot has to do with the weather right now as well but only time will tell.
  22. Welcome aboard Cathy!
  23. It won't fit on a 55. I have a 314 copper 45lb with a 300 foot power pro backer.
