  2. Nice Job Roger! Its "Spin Doctors":D
  3. Pretty Cool! Thanks for sharing Terry.
  4. No No...what I said is the key to getting a big one in your boat is bring you along. Big Difference. Nailer is right tho kids and women have that gentle touch. Biggest fish on my boat this year was 17.8 pounds caught by a 15 yr. old on his first time out. My nephew and son that are 10-11 have landed quite a few fish over 15 pounds as well this year. Now I just take it as, if it was meant to happen it was meant to happen, kinda thing. No pumping on lead core to as plumkrazy stated.
  5. Brilliant! TY Bob! I was cutting off my swivels then retying them on my leadcore leader everytime id do the switch from spoon to plug. At the point now I should prolly reapply new leadcore leaders again. Done this about 4 times allready this year. Thanks again.
  6. I will be fishing in Muskegon Saturday to Mike. Maybe even Sunday as well. Gotta find a big pod of 17.4+ pound fish and pray they stay there. Try yah on the radio.
  7. Theres allready a ice fish baby.... too cold too cold song out. Id get sued.
  8. Yo GLF lets kick it! Light up a Glo spoon and wax a fish like a candle. Rollin... in my 17 foot Lowe with my lead core out so my horn can blow.
  9. I almost forgot to thank the cazman for all his hard work again on another great event, Thanks Rich! And also thanks to my crew for landing the fish and putting me on a few fish after i had run out of options on what to do.
  10. If i have question as to what type between coho/chinook i quickly count the anal rays. 13-15 for coho and 15-17 for chinooks. It helps to keep a Michigan Fishing Guide in your boat stored somewhere, very easy to do. Lake trout have all kinds of different regulations depending on where your fishing at. Nother good reason to have the book onboard. Heres a quote from book on lake trout. "The daily possession limit for lake trout and splake is 5 in any combination, but no more than 3 of any one species." LOL hope this helps.
  11. Thanks for that info Long Line.
  12. Nice job west michigan league teams! Nice box of fish GLF!
  13. Nice job Phil. Im gonna guess by looking at the pictures that you had to quit a little early. I opted to go see the indian doctor instead of fish today. I skinned em good to.
  14. Anyone from 7th place.....
  15. Thanks for the trip Phil. Had a good time this morning fishin with you and Adam and meeting Pops, thanks for leaving the 20 color core in the cabin!
  16. Im a big fan of single hooks. Try taking a treble hook and pulling it thru a piece of paper, then a single hook. You will notice the single hook goes thru alot easier. Less contact points. Also easier to sharpen and you can really get a fine point. I like my flys/squids to have double single hooks. I've switched all my spoons to single hooks at one time only to change them back to trebles. I noticed I wasnt getting as many hits on some of the single hook spoons. Was thinking maybe it was because they were giving or taking away the action on them. Also interested in what others have to say.
  17. What size/kind flasher do you guys use with cut bait twinkie/teaser rigs? Do the regular size 8" Spin Doctors work or do you need to go bigger?
  18. Did you get that monster on the green scaly?
  19. Thanks for the report. I've been wondering how many lures charter captains will lose in a year. Ive lost alot this year. Mind sharing how far back you ran your j-plugs behind the riggers?
  20. There is only one launch. Dont know where your coming from, best I can tell yah is try a google or mapquest search for Gold Coast Outfitters. The launch is just north from them on butternut rd. On your way out stay a little more to the left or south side till you notice the drop off into the lake on your sonar. Its kinda shallow in there but with this rain we've had it might not be as bad. Good Luck.
  21. Nice Job Rich. That one is a dandy.
  22. Thanks for the report. Nice Job. How long of a lead were you using on the riggers with the j-plugs?
  23. Nice Job. Ditto on the jumping fish from today. Port Sheldon wasnt that bad today people wise compared to a few weekends ago. It was just insane. I got to the launch at 5:30 and didnt have my boat in the water till 7.
  24. Nice Job Phil,Terry, Adam and crew. I went back out after the morning trip and we went 6-9 in 60-80 fow again. Got soaked but we were catching fish. 5 color Mag. Fuzzy bear glo green dolphin took 2, 7 color same spoon took 3, and 1 on pro troll flasher chrome purple firecracker fly on rigger 12 back down 51. The fish we lost were all on these set-ups/ lures to. They seemed to be the only thing they wanted out of a 10 rod set up. Terry, I know youve got alot of offers from people to fish with but if you ever cant find anyone and want to go im here dont hesitate to ask. I think im gonna go to sleep now and then call some doctors.
  25. Fished with my nephew and Rdfishin this mornin from 5-10am went 11-15 w/2 coho. Just about everything I had in the water went off. Dipseys set 3 out 75-100 w/ fuzzy bear mag. glo green dolphin spoon and black green fishcatcher w/ sea foam fly? (the one from the stinger challenge). Dipseys set 1 1/2 out 100 w/ clear glo SD green squid, Glo blu holo crush SD w/ glo blue bubble fly. 5 color core with moonshine widowmaker, 7 color core with yellow flounder, 10 color core flounder pounder. Had 4 on at one time, fished 50-80 fow south, south troll was best. Got kinda crazy just as the sun was coming up was down to 3 rods in the water out of 9. Great fishing with yah again Roger.
