west river drive

well i hit the grand in the rogue river area it was my frist time in 7 years of living up here that i would try for walleye went upstream from the the mouth of the rogue started out drifting crawlers and was greeted with my frist walleye a 19 incher then drifted through the area again got another one drifted a few other areas with nothing i was happy with just the 2 never see anybodyelse fishing for them i might have just got lucky,anyways nice to be out and hopefully i am on to somthing just like hunters scout for deer i scout the river for future steelhead spots always learning somthing new looking for nthe golden spot

i agree just curious as to why the bait fish are not in close in a littlle warmer water the beach is at 42 i would think they would be around but one thing i have learned with fishing for over 30 years is that the fish always teach you somthing new just when you think you got them figured out

just looking for some thoughts on why the fish are so deep so early when the surface temp is so cold yet close to shore i have my own thoughts just wanting to see what others think
