I generally post reports on a regular basis on several sites closer to my homeport (much like Billy V). Honestly, I don't always remember to post here....but I will try this season.... John

I know that one of your requirements mentioned was the autostop, which Fishlander does not have yet. But I'm going on the 3rd season with those, and have been very happy, for what its worth.....

Capt. Mike: I've been doing part-time on eastern lake erie for 2 seasons. I only run a 22', so I know for some groups I'm too small, which is ok...knew that coming in. Anyway, as a result I have had a number of trips with husband/wife or father/son. Perfect size for my boat. I keep track of all trips, asking where they found me. I would say at this point that 95% of all inquiries is off my website. I place flyers in the waterfront hotel right by my marina, they all go during the year, but no bookings off that. Also at the local tackle store, but I don't expect much from that, since his kid does trips too. John Times Two Charters

Walleye fishing continues to be super on the Eastern Basin of Lake Erie. Limit catches were commom during the recently completed Conservation Club derby. Friday, we boated 15 fish in a little over 2 hours, although no weight. Fished deeper sat/sun and boxed 3 fish each day for the tournament over 20lbs per day. Slide divers at 170-180; 10 color; and little slides off the boards. Copper based harnesses; especially watermelon.

Fish Dog. I have a guy that has said he wants the last 2 and is sending payment to the seller today. IF that doesn't happen for some reason, I'll get back to you. Thanks.

They are not linecounters, muskybob.

The walleye bite out of Dunkirk continues to be really good. Fished Saturday (7/22) in the rain and NE wind. Boated 9 'eyes by 11 am. Good part is we are starting to see a few bigger fish of late. 10 color down the chute, little dipseys and slildes off the boards and big slide divers. Mostly all harnesses of late...black/purple; watermelon. Fished Sunday with just my young son...went 3/4 in 45 minutes before the very BUGGY conditions were too much for him.....

I am selling these for a friend of mine. He said they are in good working order, and have had the drags serviced within the last couple of years. He is changing over to tekotas, and that's why he is selling. John

Walleye fishing in the Dunkirk area continues to just be super. Limit catches have not been uncommon, and most recently, there have been more larger fish taken. At least for me, there has been no one set up that's been better than others, as it seems that at times all work. Copper spoons/harnesses the best, also black and purple.
-
Right now, with the fishing so good, there have been several hot methods. For me, A#1 has been a slide diver on wire, with a copper yeck spoon. Also some fish on dave's kabooms on 5 color leadcore; and some "popping" the riggers, mostly on stingers or yecks in copper backs. I have not run worms much, but I know some locals that have been using copper/watermelon blades off jets or the leadcore. With the spoons we've been running a bit quicker...2-2.2 on the down speed. John

The walleye fishing the last 10 days or so has been super out of Dunkirk. During the recently completed Southtowns Walleye Assoc. Derby, it was not unusually to hear of 20+ fish per day. We were out on Wednesday, boated 14, and lost at least another dozen. Nothing big, but good eaters. John

Another new guy on this board. I'm John Forbes, and run Times Two Charters on Eastern Lake Erie (Dunkirk, NY) for walleye, and also select dates on Western Lake Ontario. I'm currently running a 22' Larson walkaround, with Fishlander riggers and holders. Please feel free to visit the website at www.timestwocharters.com John
