  1. Right on Frank... This way when I get too old to run my boat hopefully he will drag me with once or twice!
  2. Just ask a airplane pilot if he can ignore wind speed and direction (air currents). Land the wrong way in the wind and you will be picking your plane out of a corn field!
  3. A 38-inch brown trout caught by Eric Haataja in the Milwaukee harbor has been certified as a world record in the all tackle length division by the International Game Fish Association. Jack Vitek, IGFA record coordinator, said Haataja’s application had been approved and would be posted to the organization’s website Tuesday. Haataja, a fishing guide from West Allis, caught the fish Dec. 16, 2011. After measuring and photographing the fish, Haataja released it....... Read more at Milwaukee JS Online Way to go Eric!!
  4. Out on Lake Winnebago trolling the mud flats pulling crawlers harnesses @ 1.1 Ended up with 14 nice walters. Gold blades and white beads worked the best for us. A very nice day on the water with the boy. Here is Mushy's walleye impression. Just trying to get a grip on it!
  5. Great pictures. Sure is fun to see the kids light up!
  6. Looking for one gently used Cannon Easi-Troll Downrigger, for the right price. One of mine decided to walk the plank and is now hanging out with the Lake Trout and Gobies. I do not need the base.
  7. Frank Great job on the Walters and Good Luck to you and the kiddies!
  8. I am afraid I am in the same "boat" so to speak! We both live right next the biggest inland walleye lake and I have so little experience on it.
  9. Aaron, No feed back is the way to go! I have it... it is the cats pajamas when you can let go of the wheel and the motor stays right where you left it. A very nice upgrade for the money.
  10. I gave the Lund its annual scrub down this weekend. I washed several times but the water spots would not come off. Then it hit me... Vinegar!! I grabbed a rag, applied the vinegar, wiped it on the boat, and then rinsed it off. WOW! Some areas needed a second coat and I left it sit a little while extra prior to rinsing. I used it on the motor cover and plastic parts and they came out spotless too. This has to be the best $1.39 I ever spent for a cleaner. This will work on fiberglass just as well. Just make sure you rinse it off with water. She looks show room floor new.
  11. Russell, Thanks for the report. I finally made it the shop on the 27th. It is really nice to pull up to the dock, grab what I needed, and down the river I went. Store hours are 4 am to 9 pm 7 days a week.... WOW! Nice shop Enough goodies in there to keep me in trouble with the better half for a long time! See ya soon!
  12. A little grainy/fuzzy picture but some really nice fish!
  13. Sorry to here that. The fishing usually eases the pain.
  14. Your right ...Until the wife called while we were busy with a double and she dropped the price bomb on me... I got sea sick right then.
  15. Well here my vote for going public with them.
  16. Gordy, Have you thought about going commercial with your photos?
  17. Please correct me if I am wrong.... I am fairly certain that most of the fish cleaning stations in Wisconsin are there from cooperation of each city and a local fishing club. I guess I would start talking with the local fishing club and see if a cleaning station is on the radar or not. Just a suggestion...
  18. Good Job Ken! She was tough fishing out there.
