  1. Not Sure about Whitehall, but Muskegon lake will hold some fish for a short while in front of the sand docks-40-50fow, nice deep troff but can get real busy in the channel- fishing Muskegon as well as most ports are smoking hot right now and should be for another week or so.
  2. Hmmm, flyboy I know a guy who runs a spread like that a time or 2 :-). Great Job on the fish!
  3. I would pass on the boat- you can find a better deal at $12,000. Just my 2cents.
  4. Quick trip with my wife out to 180fow monday night straight west of peir heads produced some nice silver fish in the 15-17lb wt. We finished 6/9 with 2 double headers:thumb: My wife has turned into a real fishen-machine. Wire 160-200 back on 3 with 8" Blue-Crush SP and Rapture Blue bubble was hot as well 11" white paddle with Oceana fly was hot as well. Fish down deep as 400Cu did well with green chillie willy taking 2 fish. Pink Panties on riggers 100-110 took fish as well Lots of fun and no-one around us.
  5. I use a free slider as well as a fixed slider and they simply rock- but are still the hardest fish hook-up on the boat.
  6. Yes Muskegon has been hot! Glad to see you had fun with the son, I had it the other way 2 nights ago taking my father and mother out on my boat :-)
  7. Hey mom your not suppose to tell everyone where the fish are :-) Guys like Flyboy and Fishsniffer are going to catch'em all. Just kidding guys- you keep hammering away at them- Muskegon is starting to turn into a zoo with all the traffic. Fishing has been good though. Time to turn and burn North.
  8. Armstrong's is more than disorganized but they have most things in abundance- was there just at lunch as my office is in Montague. Johnson's in Montague has herring- heck of a nice guy to deal with.
  9. Awsome job out there peatman- sure is fun when you lay into them like that!!!!
  10. hey there numberguy77,

How did you do out of Muskegon last night. Sorry for the short come-back we were into them hot out in 105 just north of the nets. Finished 11/16 letting lose a shaker. Some nice healthy 3year olds mixed in were a few mature kings. Wire diver with blue/halo/crush 8" spindoctor has done some damage in the last 3 trips- tied to a little boy blue BW fly. 12fish alone- good luck out there

  12. I like Imposture Lures on lead core they flat out rock and they use Owner hooks
  13. Thanks for the report! Great Job Mark- we found some nice kings in the 75-85fow so looks like they are still scattered with all that cold water.
  14. That awesome. Great job on the fish.
  15. Thanks guys- I hope to find them tomorrow night.
  16. Has anyone found the fish out of Muskegon lately? Last trip Monday night ran North to Duck Lake and picked up a 16lb king and a 10lb steelhead in 3 hours of trolling 90-110fow. Not complaining:no: Previous 2 trips similar results, slow-slow and more slow. Seen a lot of boats straight out from the peir in 75-120fow but nobody talking on radio. Going back out Thursday-Sunday. Hope to have some good news to report.
  17. Nice Job Mark! Great job when fishing has been tough.
  18. Thanks for the report- sounds like you made the right move:thumb:
  19. Lots of boats out yesterday- mostly north. We fished from 6:30- 9:30 Best water was 100' We finished with 6 nice kings all around 8-12lbs. Our speed was slow 2.2 at ball. We found our fish just out in front of duck lake. Some days it seems you cant buy a bite. I doubt you did anything wrong- just weren't into the fish. Everyone here has those days.
  20. Took the wife and her friend out for an evening troll on the big lake only to be greeted with 3-5' mixed waves. Not much fun, but did motor out to 100fow and rode waves in. Not much action, but really couldn't get any real program going. Did manage 2 steelies and 1 king. Sliders still seem to produce fish for us. Heard a few guys catching big fish out in the 160fow 65down- ?? 7color with Silverado Imposter took 10lb steelhead 75fow Free slider with rigger parked 55down Silver Streak Wolverine took 6lb Steelhead 68fow Free Slider with Mongolian Beef rigger parked 50down took 4lb king 65fow All hits came between 8:45 and 9:15pm I have had Imposture Lures for 3 years now and was all but ready to give up on them, but in the last 2 weeks they have been on fire- lead core only! Anyone else run them? Nothing hits them on a rigger.
  21. Ok guys fishing the dreamweaver tomorrow, here it goes. Fished the am in 80-100fow straight out in front of peirheads. Finished 8-12 with 5 kings, 2 steelheads, and 1 laker. Here is what worked: Lemon ice 2 fish both kings Meat - 1 stealie/ 1 king NBK Mag 3 kings Bloody Nose 1 king, 1 laker I did not use any of the lures from the tournament bag as I did not wish to lose any. 2 kings just over 15lbs. Many stealhead caught by others fishing this am- storm ran us off at 10:00 Good luck to those who make it out tomorrow. No best troll- sog 3.2 no temp prob.
  22. I agree with Don, listen for me on the radio- I get excited everytime we catch a fish. All I hope for is a comfortable ride with my friends, enjoying the awsome lake and if we catch a few fish well heck that's a bonus for me. I will drop a post tomorrow afternoon from the morning fishing as we will be out at 5am tomorrow.
  23. I usually start with 20lb 30' flourocarbon leaders and cut back when needed an replace when under 10'.
