  1. PS- its a mercruiser, 888 I'll try iboats also
  2. Worked fine last week. noticed a small amount of gear lube leaking from bottom filler screw, bought new screw with washer (the new one is magnetic the old had no magnet) topped off lube (maybe 1/4 of a quart)-old still looked like new. Now shifter won't go into forward position. It will in neutral but not in gear. If some force is applied it stalls the engine. any one know someone who can fix it soon?? I'm willing to pay. If you can speak in mechanic baby talk I might be able to follow instructions otherwise. Any help much appreciated. Bob
  3. Me too, its truly a "great" lake. Long way down that coho was!
  4. So I take it the 3-5' forecast was wrong? surprised you could see anything as thick as the fog looked on the web cam. What a riot when those fish go airborne.
  5. Thanks for the limit info, I wasn't sure on Browns. I'll remember next time :-)
  6. Looked for Coho first not really expecting much but wasn't sure about wandering deeper with the stiff wind but after no success we headed deeper changing baits toward laker stuff. Hit a nice brown in the 40' range and then got our 5 lakers to finish with a nice box. Not quite as hot as last week but I think the wind and currents made it really tough today. Not sure what spoon got the Brown but it had burnt red on one edge and orange on the other. Lakers were on dodgers and spin n gloss except the last one on a blue dolphin 200 copper.
  7. Some good fishing JD. wish I had time to head farther south tomorrow but looks like S Haven again.
  8. Great job, nice first trip
  9. Thanks for the report Kabet, nice to know there really are Kings out there
  10. we ran one diver skipping bottom and one we would let tick from 35' down till it touched and then do it again. blue dolphin on a 200 32# copper was hot also, as well as a rigger bouncing bottom. All took fish/hits Mag diver about 89' out on 1.5 or 2
  11. Last week we were 1 short of a limit in a fairly short period of time after not finding Coho in S Haven. Yesterday we hunted again and then set up for Lakers and it was crazy. Setting the 4th rod the first one went off and then all the others went about 5 min or so apart in a row for the first fire drill for the 2 of us. Then they were hitting the diver on the way down and the copper as the board was running out into place. Limited in no time. Today was still red hot and never set more than 4 rods (yes had one on shortly after rod 4 was set) but it was much more difficult fishing with the wind blowing us sideways. Went about 9 or 10 for 12 or so hits putting several of the big ones back (unharmed) and dropping one back accidently that survived also. Tin cans and any spin n glow and mag blue dolphin were best but every rod would get hit sooner or later. And now yesterdays are getting smoked! G.eml
  12. Thanks for the report. Hopefully warmer weather and fish are coming soon.
  13. PS: Lake temp 40-41, tin can and blue spin n glow on a wire bouncing bottom the best and mag blue dolphin on a 200 copper taking the largest one.
  14. Wanted Coho but couldn't find any so we set up for lakers south near the plant and lost one out there, pulled lines and fished in 45-60' of water near the piers for lakers and picked up 5. Great day on the lake
  15. Beautiful day for a shake down cruise with Brant. Boat ran well and managed 1 brown on an orange rap. Wanted to spend time fishing the piers but they were full so trolled the beach south with no hits except snags and then trolled out in the river water aprox 20' where we got the skunk out. Didn't see any pier action but they stayed so Maybe? or maybe the cold front slowed things down. Water 36-38, river water 40-44. Nice to get the season started and work out the bugs. Tried to take a pic of the brown but my phone quit in my hand-guess it didn't like wet hands.
  16. Is the date confirmed? I need to know soon to take time off work. I am interested in a table
  17. You've been busy
  18. I might have a spot for you near Holland if you're interested
  19. By dividing the $ from 1 vehicle to 2 means both will be "less" as far as quality and may mean higher repair costs plus insurance. It has to cost more to run 2 older vehicles than 1 newer one. I had 2 and am happy now with 1. But 2 is nice sometimes and sure opens up more options. Would the cost of leaving the boat at the marina be more or less than the 2nd vehicle? Not sure if Holland offers an in and out service or not but a friend has it in Muskegon and loves it. Calls on the way and his boat is waiting at the dock.
  20. I would be interested in finding a crew or joining one if anyone needs another member. I am equipped to fish it with 2 or 3 others if anyone is interested contact me.
  21. You're link is in 2 parts.
  22. I would love to go but need at least 2 weeks notice to get a Saturday off.
