Just happy to get something besides all lakers, their fun to catch but not that great to eat. Caught them all between 6 and 730 just like the other trips out of port austin. Do they only bite the first 3 hours in the morning and the last 3 hours of light? -
ill be out there myself all weekend

Fished harbor beach today north of the lighthouse in 70 to 90 fow we launched at 3 and pulled lines at 8 we picked up 1 laker, 2 kings and 1 steelhead all on silver streak spoons in purple, alowise green, and yellow fishing the botton 10 feet.

I would launch out of quiniccasea bladerunner it puts you right on top of the fish
-
We launched out of quiniccasea yesterday along with about 200 other boats, but it was worth the wait to launch, half mile line of boats. We came in with our 3 man and a nice sun burn. Almost all the fish came on a small bladed fire tiger crawler harness, caught a few on a juinor deep diver thunderstick. We fished from 8 to 15 fow picking up fish the whole troll but the deeper u go the bigger the fish, we had 13 throwbacks yesterday.
-
we were northwest of thomas running the edge of the slot. My buddies caught a 4 man limit out of quiniccasea yesterday off the edge of the sandbar/callahan reef. The action gets hotter the closer to the reef and the farther south you go.

Yup i bought a bunch of spoons and some mini dipsy divers. All my salmon fishing stuff got stole so i gave it up and concentrated on keepin the freezer full of walleye all year. But i had a blast reelin in those big boys, alot more fight than a walleye. -
Fished out of port austin on sunday first time salmon fishing in 6 years im a dedicated walleye fisherman but managed a few fish but lost more than i put in the cooler. Caught 2 lakers and a coho on a silver streak green and silver spoon. no down riggers just 3 ounce in line lead weights with a 4 foot long leader fishing the bottom 10 feet in 40 feet of water. Didnt use any spinning glows or dodgers. We were right by the lighthouse.

Need Fish Report for Saginaw Bay
kitchen replied to Diehard 4's topic in Saginaw Bay Fishing Reports - Walleye
Find the dirtier water and youll catch fish. -
Fished yesterday out of thomas and sunset where the water was more muddy picked up 5 fish in 13 feey of water. Was catching limits up till 9 days ago off lone tree and the sebewaing river but the water is way to clear. Switched things up today and went out of port austin and caught a coho salmon and a lake trout in 40 feet of water on a green and silver spoon. Lost 2 other fish only got to troll for about 2 hours. Both fish were about 12 pounds.
-
We picked up 9 fish this afternoon south of the sebewaing river in 8 to 12 feet trolling crawler harnesses. We had to work for them but it was worth it. The 5 days of north gales we had here didnt help but as it continues to calm down and warm up the fish should become more aggressive.
-
I plan on heading out on the bay bay the next 3 days if the weather permits. Ill let everyone know how i do the weekend is looking really good for fishing.
-
Its still blowin a gale here prolly wont get back on the water till wensday or thursday and we should be back on the fish. Put 103 walleye in the freezer since easter sunday, fishing the same spot. Only can fish when the weather allows.
-
I think they are gonna dredge at some point and yes its very good fishing there year around. Ive been fishing out of rose island for 15 years and have never had a bad season. For the past 7 years we usually catch between 2 and 3 thousand walleye a season. If u dont want to lauch out of the sebewing river u can always launch out of thomas marina, no trees or rocks.
-
The channel buoys are out at the sebewaing river but u have to b extremely careful at the mouth theres a couple big rocks and a tree inside the buoys. Im not going out of the river im going out of rose island just north of the river.
-
The bay has slowed down the water cleared up and the fish moved. I was fishing the mudline out of sebewaing in 12 to 14 feet of water but now u can c the bottom in 12 foot which isnt good for walleye fishing. We were limiting out every trip until wensday, we only got 9 wensday , 5 thursday and 2 friday. it looks like the weather is gonna keep me off the bay until the middle of next week so ill keep evertone posted.

I live in sebewaing and have been catchin walleye every day the weather lets me, i went out yesterday and the water was really muddy where we have been catchin em. So we mved out to the slot and the water was clear, im sure by sunday the whole bay will b purdy clear, clear enough to catch those hungary walleye. we bended up catchin our limit last nite but moved from the slot 2 miles to the north and back into 8 feet of water off the back of defoe island, the farther north u go the clearer the water. -
Ive been walleye fishin out of sebewaing every day the weather gives me a chance and have been well, i plan on goin tomorrow and saturday
