  3. Now a fan
  4. Looks like you could be trolling:grin:
  5. A friend of mine hooked me up with a cartography CD for my Garmin Handheld, once I get around to downloading onto my GPS maybe you could use it too...
  6. Frank I was checking out some FF/GPS combos by Raymarine @ Bethels. They ranged from 900 -1500. I bet you've looked at them, but I read about them and they seemed to be pretty reasonable, I don't have any feedback about them as I don't own one but I'm sure there are reviews out there. You've got plenty of time yet to find the one you're looking for.
  7. I've got a nice little handheld, but saw something the other day at sams club. It was a helmet cam. I'm sure there would be an easy way to mount this where you want. It was very small and under $100
  8. I couldn't agree more Frank.
  9. Frank I did check out another site, FISHLANDER, and they seemed to have a good amount of electronics, but don't really know if the prices were good. They seemed good on some of their stuff....do a search and check it out. I was looking to see if Fishlander was back in business and came to this website that sells a little bit of everything.
  10. If you're not going that's warning enough for me to stay off... When this wind dies off and it gets cold it could/should refreeze in hurry since the water is cold to begin. I have not made one trip to the bay, other than at the mouth, which wasn't far enough out to even be considered the bay, so I am really chomping at the bit to go, but with all the trouble that's been had on the bay i'm gun shy
  11. They do sell leadcore ready to go, I want to say it is like 25 bucks, it's been a long time since I've bought it that way. And once you learn how to tie the willis knot I bet you will go that way. It's a simple knot that you likely will want when you start putting out 2,3,4,5 all the way up to 15 colors on your reels. Like mentioned above you will find thinks that you both like and dislike in your setup and can adjust accordingly. good luck
  12. Oh boy, may not be pretty out there when she calms down....whitecaps eh?
  13. Nice rig bro! I'm partial to Thompsons, my '87 210 fishermen has treated me very well and fishes awesome.....
  14. Wow, looks like some fish that are jacked up on steroids, SLOBS!
  15. I will be upgrading my marine radio here very shortly, taking the advice of P1! to deep six that unit I have. Too old and not reliable. Looking at that ray marine from Bethel
  16. I have limited experience with copper, but run a lot of LC. From what I understand copper will get you deeper faster then LC. Someone on here put a chart out of copper depth chart. Here's the link http://www.greatlakesfisherman.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14775&highlight=copper+depth+chart Thanks Diver Dennis.
  17. It's been a while since I've been on there, but when I would get on it was always good chattin with these dudes.
  18. Buddy was up there last weekend, enough smelt and perch for a meal or 2 and that was it. From the sounds of things it was a bit on the slow side, all the dink perch you want
  19. Nice king & great looking steelie!
  20. Nice score! Love the 4.3 OMC Cobra. I've got one in boat, had one in my s-10 and it is a great motor. With that light boat I bet you haul @$$! Have fun rigging it up....
  21. I voted stinger also, mainly because that is mostly what's used on my boat. They do catch fish no doubt, but, their paint really sucks. There are so many other lure companies out there with patterns that are very close that I'm going to have to give them a whirl. @ $4-$5 a pop I would think that the paint would hold a up a little better.
  22. Pretty sweet~
  23. Thanks for the report, one thing I'm unclear on is where were you fishing?
