  1. Frank that whitie looks better than the one from the day before. YUM
  2. Hey Frank...it was a great day on the water for sure.... Thanks for the invite and look forward to seeing you on the water again. A finely oiled machine aboard the Priority 1 gettin' er' done!!!!! That's right, a king...on a crawler harness. I heard it's the new thing...all the guys are doing it... Definite bonus to catch something silver out of Au Gres..
  3. You would be served very well by investing in trees. It cleans up the work area, and makes running multiple planer lines per side very managable. And at the same time with a few other rod holders in the right position you can maximize the amount of lines you can run. I have triple trees, primarily used for planer lines, fishlander triple rod holders that I now use primarily for running dipsies, and then of course my down riggers. THe trees make life easy.
  4. Sounds like some solid fishing!
  5. Early on no problems. But once it was light out if was like flies on stink with boats everywhere. There were 3 dudes that thought it was a good idea to anchor right in the hole. Bad idea guys, everyone else was drifting through there, I was trolling up and down stream and these guys would give anyone within a stones throw away an ear ful. I said sorry, but if I were you on the opener I wouldn't be anchored there, but thats just me, as I proceeded to get a couple right in front of them, even sweeter!
  6. Good job fellas . Don't forget to put the plug in! I will be putting the Husky Jerk up there shortly. Vacation next week and then it's walleye time....See ya in Au Gres
  7. I haven't heard of any reports out of Sebawaing yet, however, I know that the fishing can be good over there in/near the "slot". I would think that you could run harnesses and get into some fish, and if the harnesses aren't doing the trick you could deploy your stick baits to see if that will get them to go. When pulling harnesses I have only used crawlers. Another area over there to check out is Callahan reef. Good luck to you!
  8. The usual gang made our annual pilgrimage to the tittabawasee for the walleye opener. After a good fire and some barley pops Friday night, all eyes on the walleye for Saturday. Woke up bout 5AM was fishing shortly after that. Trolled HJ 12 glass clown and glass perch up and down a nice little stretch of river. Ended the day 8/9. 6 walleye (only 4 keepers), a nice small mouth and one of the largest rock bass I'd ever seen. As a whole we came up way short of the amount of fish compared to last years opener.
  9. Phenominal!!!!!! No turkey is safe when the family is trouncing around in the woods:thumb:
  10. Wow. lake michigan is getting scary...
  11. Meow...good luck with that. Get some pics of it
  12. I've been reading some decent reports on the east side spring fishery, tempted to take it over and give it whirl with reports like these. So here's the question, the fish are here in the spring, how come they don't hang around all summer? And if they do where? Nice job on the fish!
  13. I concur. They do really stabilize the boat.
  14. Ya, the weather messed things up for us. It will get better....
  15. Nice job Fellas. We hit NB without any bites, bummer. That wind was brutal. We did see the Nee Hi in transit on the way home!
  16. Better than working Tom! You'll get em next time.
  17. Headed down to New Buffalo, going off my friends rig. Give me a buzz on the tele...we'll compare notes
  18. I believe that answers my query.... You headed to the Joe this weekend Eric?
  19. Not trying to stir the pot Bomber, and don't know if you have tried wire divers up high too. But is it possible the reason that the wire takes more fish is because of where in the water column you are placing it? I run braided, and BIL has both, but I couldn't make the observation that one is better than the other.
  20. 81 miles.
  21. Welcome aboard, looks like another good guy in the group.
  22. Welcome! You will be fine with your boat on the bay. I've seen some pretty small boats on the bay on the right day, and on the bad days you wouldn't even want to be out there in a big boat. Use some common sense and you'll do just fine! See ya out there
  23. Hi Mike! GLF is a great site! I too fish out of Au Gres. If you need anything I'm sure someone here can help! Welcome aboard!
