  1. I suppose this dispells the rumor that ther are no fish left in the bay? Nice job Frank
  2. Hopefully there's some smooth sailing seas in the near future Adam! You know what I would've said....it's layin down...the heavy stuff isn't coming for a while. We all know how that mother nature can be so mean. All that time and energy put into a trip and the conditions never presents itself "ideally" leaving many on shore wondering when will we be able to get out. Hope all is well....
  3. Nice job on the fish:thumb:. there's days where we are in tournaments and wish we weren't, and then the opposite. You just never know until you're there....if I could see the future I would play the lotto more.
  4. I'm googling it now. I used to have a link to a company that presses spoon blanks and you can buy them in all sizes, for trolling, casting etc. Will find it. It was a company out of WI http://www.worthco.com/fish/spoons.html
  5. Agreed. I can understand things that are out of the control of humans, however, all of the crap and litter that "should" be controllable by humans that isn't and ends up in the lake is disgusting. All of the waste water treatment plants that overflow and spill into the great lakes is ridiculous and need to be fixed.
  6. Nice job on the fish! As to your second point about unconsiderate anglers, they're everywhere. There is plenty of room out there for all of us, unfortunately it seems that people think that is good to fish the same area as someone else. Where, in fact, I have found it to be better fishing running water with nobody else around. We've all had those experiences with others and it does nothing more than make the blood boil. No brains, No headaches!
  7. Wish I was fishin Jim. Seems as though there good fishing everywhere, glad you could get out and get em:thumb:
  8. Welcome to the site. Looking forward to reading your posts!
  9. Good group here Heidi! TW has been doing pretty good over that way, hoping to target over there next year for a bit. Hopefully between you and TW I can get pointed in the right direction.
  10. Thanks Russ. I see a lot of mini discs on rods at the marina I stay at. For some reason I have only had limited success with them, but they do work just doesn't seem to be as affective in my spread as the other techniques. Now this year I haven't had the time on the water as the previous 2. But over the last 2 years I've been running 2 to 5 color leadcore, jet 20's and 30's along with downriggers. They all seem to produce. I love my spoons. Couple weeks ago I put a mini disc out about 65' and caught fish on that one.....
  11. Nice job. I like to run spoons too. When they're working, they work good. Could you elaborate on the methods that you like to use to get your lures in the fishes face? LC, Jets, mini discs?????
  12. That's the spirit:thumb: Looks like a nice mess of slabs you caught there.
  13. Nice job Frank. Same story, but it's a good one.
  14. Nicely done Tom! Sounds like you had some fun:D You got that right Frank. There aren't any walleye left in the bay, as a matter of fact, it's probably best if most of the fleet sells their boats or finds a new place to fish where there actually maybe some fish:lol:
  15. No idea. I don't know what the laws / rules would be on that. It is a city launch, it has never been that busy when we've gone, I say give it a whirl.
  16. As you are headed into town from the east, it will be on the left hand side of the road. It is before you get to the curve to the right. It's kind of tricky to see so keep your eyes open. Have fun over there~
  17. True on a couple of different levels:thumb:
  18. There wre talks that they may use Manistee and Onekema both as starting points. IT's really not that bad, cause you guys would want to be out for the before daylight bite, and I don't think the tourny even leaves the pier heads b4 6AM and then back by 1 or 2PM... Pentwater is right down the road too, we've always liked it there. Good luck TJ!
  19. This whole thing just stinks, and from the sounds of things could leave a black eye on the tournament trail. There are a few things about this situation that leave us wondering. A little on the angler side, and a little on the tournament trail's side. Hopefully they can move forward after this fiasco and rule on situations that are questionable with certain clarity. I'll sit idly by and see what comes of this mess.
  20. Blah blah blah. It's over and done with, and there isn't anything that any of us are going to be able to do about it, other than speculate. It is in the hands of the overseers of this venue to take whatever action that they deem appropriate to resolve this matter.
  21. Eventfull evening no doubT:thumb:
  22. heard the same story from my B.I.L., said they were getting the hits on sunday just couldn't get em to the net. Been there, done that....frustrating certainly
