  1. Not 100% on how to go about it. My screen shows the option to join groups. If you can't figure it out shoot Mike a message, he'll be able to tell you how.

  2. I like mine too Steve. It is nice to step into the 21st century with up to date equipment. I am now able to see things with the ray marine that I wasn't seeing with the "old uniden".
  3. That's right! How easy it is to get up at the crack of dark to go chase fish, but to go to work......NAH...
  4. Nice looking rig Are you going to keep somewhere on the bay or are you trailering back and forth? Where do you think you're going to go out of?
  5. I agree. When gas was $4.50/gallon they made record proffits, anything to turn a dime I guess. Just sucks when the rest of the economy tanks and they're making record proffits.....just sayin
  6. Snowing and blowing here too. Went out for gas. Went to my usual shell station, those dudes raised the price to $3.34/gallon, Meijer right across the street was $3.14. Not sure if gas is going up $ .20 everywhere tomorrow, but if not, those dudes are gonna be hard pressed to get my money after that. I know that everyone is filling up their vehicles, snowblowers and such, along with stocking up on groceries from the store, but NOT COOL
  7. I wonder if they know when they pop thru the hole and see you if they are TOAST.... Nice job thanks for the report
  8. Glad you could join in on the fun. I've heard from others that fish that lake as well that it is a very good lake to fish. Hopefully with a few more trips under my belt I can find some other fish there too. I know there are perch and gills along with big pike in there too. Dude pulled one last weekend that was easy 15#s. Just like anything else, the more you go the more you know. I do know where the crappie are. Frustrating to have the screen lit up like that and no action. Seemed there were some really good "solid" marks while cooking the chili, and after that it was a bunch of green marks with yellow in the mix, but it was solid 15-20' of marks on the screen....just wierd. I am definitely going to get Ashley out thereone of these days with the right conditions. Hope to see you out there again. Oh yeah, pulled in all 3 shanties at the same time with no issues, love it when things are easy like that:thumb:
  9. Hit that lake again for the afternoon bite with a crew. Indybleck and a couple other degenerates met up for some fun. Setup right close to last weeks spot, fish immediately. Didn't show any favorite bait, everything was taking hits. They were biting pretty good for a while, and then they just quit. The vex loaded up with marks and the fish stopped biting. Fished until about 630PM, kept 13 with these all close to 10". The venison chili hit the spot! fishstix:
  10. The one spoon that stands out in my mind for last year was super slim starburst! One of my best, but, a lot have mentioned Flounder Pounder and Happy Meal, which also take good #'s for me. One would be hard to do
  11. They can run, but they can't hide! You're on the brink of blowing the doors wide open!
  12. I'm getting a little warmer out there. Found the deepest part of the lake @ 45FOW, jigged 5'-12' off bottom with tear drops, forage minnows, smallest tiger jiggin rap available, using minnows/heads, wax worms, spikes, mousies and wigglers. A lot of fish on the vex again today, still kind of slow. Going to try again next weekend Some other dude stopped at the shanty on his way out, and then again on his way back in with a monster fatty pike! Have enough for a small meal.
  13. :thumb:Thanks for the report.
  14. I run em every trip out. Sometimes they're working good, and sometimes they just don't do much of anything. I don't hesitate to put em in the line up though, because they will pay off:thumb:
  15. man how time flies when we're having fun:thumb:
  16. I ran a 125 & 175 of 45# CU last fall with good success. I went with the figures of 7-9' down per 10yards of line out. So 100' of copper I have figured to be between 23.333333' - 30' down. I figured my 125' @ 29.167' - 37.5' down, and 175' CU @ 40.83' to 52.5' down. 100' / 30 = 3.333yards x (7 to 9') = 23.333 -30'/

  18. Welcome... I know someone here will have some intel for you. Not me, too far north.
  19. I have a pair that I've been using for my low divers. Relatively new to me, no issues to speak of so far. Not sure if you can change the tip to accept knots. What are you looking to do exactly?
  20. Fished a new lake yesterday in Livingston Co. Didn't yield much of a catch, 3 fish, 2 keepers all gills. One of the keepers was a DANDY. I say it's promising because the vex was lit up from the time we started until the time we finished. So a question for any of you ice anglers.... With the great numbers of fish on the vex and the lack of action, what do you do to trigger a bite? I changed lures several times, changed bait selection as well. Is it possible the weather had shut them off? I had them coming up 8' off the bottom to check out the presentation, but that's about all they would do, check it out. Maybe different conditions will yield a different catch down there. Hoping to get back over there next weekend.
  21. they are delicious:thumb:
  22. that's fantastic fishing stay on em
