  1. Sounds good to me Dark Blue. I will likely be spending time to the north from here on out, but you never know. Manistee is right there too.
  2. With slobs like that the 333 could get interesting. Nice fish man!
  3. You too bud! It was hard keeping the crew of misfits in line, but with a bit of persistence the job was done.....
  4. maybe 50', no counter on the reel. Took that fish, and then nothing else on that rig.
  5. Fished Friday and Saturday in Manistee. NOt knowing where to start we worked in front of the harbor on Friday morning, harbor patrol was in full effect but we stayed outside the arms and picked up 3 fish on ITO blue/white glow fly with red white and blue beads 50-60' back on a dipsy no ring set on #3 (high). That was it for the morning. Regrouped in the afternoon for the night bite. Spooled up a 390' copper on one of my buds' rods and headed back out. M. Mishler came out for a boat ride too. And that's about all it was. A short trip, no action and then back for some sleep, as it was needed. Mornings fish Saturday went south and setup shallow. Moonshines green jeans went off pretty quick on a rigger 26' down over 40fow followed by fishlanders green glow froggy 40 down over 55 fow. Big white paddle whie fly down 75fow went 5 minutes after it went down, then nothing. 9 color with green splatter back ace hi took a few fish. Ended the morning with 7, 5 kings, 1 steely and one laker, which was a brute. 6 of our 7 small steelie got cut out.... Got out on Saturday evening setting lines about 1830, didn't get anything until the witching hour, and then we ended with 2. both on the same rig, 125 CU with a white glow plug with a black ladderback. After that nothing. Did lose one right at the back of the boat. Noticed that my finder went from 220fow to 25 fow, it was bait. Brought in the MOO MOO meat rig and reset it at 60' back with a dispy on #3 no ring, 5 minutes after that it took of, and lost that one at the back of the boat. Sorry for the spotty details, left my log book in the truck all weekend. Here's a few pics from our evening Justin fighting one
  6. I have been using the same core for a few years now, I think this will be year 3 or 4 without issue, knock on wood. When I am done fishing all of my rods and reels go into the garage and the drags backed off all the way. I will go thru and retie all connections. Over the course of the past few years I have cut core and made different segments when it was convenient. So I am in need of a new full core and looking for a 300' copper. The only time that my lines stay out in the sun is when we are on the boat for a weekend. Now this is just my experience and others maybe different.
  7. Nice. Is that the same one that the "Drumbeat" was fishing?
  8. We replaced one on my BIL's trailer, we just used treated and fastened the carpet back onto is. Cheap and easy
  9. Nice showing Turbo, great looking catch.....
  10. Went north of big Charity with Fishingmachine in 25 fow, 2 oz inlines with silver streak blades 20-30' back. Start out quick and had to work to finish out our box. smallest were 18" only 2 of those, the rest were great fish. One short released and one sheephead that Scott kept. Weatherman had the forecast a bit wrong, well a lot wrong. It wasn't 1'rs with light and variable winds, it was variable, but blowing up 2-5'rs oh well we stuck it out and kept after them and ended with these
