  2. Always goes to the new guy
  3. I like to go from braid to mono, and then from mono to leadcore
  4. Swoop me up, I think Edb will need some help, and I love to help:grin:
  5. I've been using the rain x on the outside of my windows, going to check into the fog x, as I've heard whispers and I too have major fog on my windows inside in the morning. The rain X on the exterior of the windows really keeps the rain off the glass awesomely. I hope the FogX is just as good
  6. It's tradition, meet and great with some steelheaders from down river for breakfast, over to the show with my 2 girls. They have a good eye for new lures....
  7. Sounds like a great day.
  8. I was hoping that's what you meant. I can tell you this, in my experience with Blood Run's 45# I am very happy. Compared to the other brand I was using this stuff is easier and user friendly. With your input about the 32# I imagine using that is a breeze. After spooling my 1st reel with the BRC to try I swapped out my other reels CU with BRC as well.
  9. Hey DirtyDog, how do you mean less forgiving?
  10. Haven't tried 32# yet, however, the bloodrun 45# is the smoothest I've used. Tried a few other brands, and the blood run is what I'll stick with. I over looked the 32# for the simple fact that the 45# will take you deeper with less line out. However, I have also been informed that with the 32# lures are running slightly different, can't confirm nor deny this as it was something that another person with more experience with the 2 different weights of line said.
  11. Looks real nice Chummer, here is a few from the same area..... See you up there next August?
  12. I put a nice captain's chair at the helm of my boat. My neighbor works at a fastener distribution company. I bought some heavy duty toggles that work awesome. It is the only way I would go. Still as stout as the day I installed.
  13. Heck yeah! I hope that scratched the itch, great way to start out the season:thumb:
  14. cool video
  15. 12# round does it for me.
  16. I agree Matt. It's a good tool to put in the water. This year it took good #s for us.
  17. Welcome aboard
  18. Yes, Manistee
  19. Interesting read about these muscles and how they wipe out the food chain from the bottom up. Take a look http://www.thenewsherald.com/articles/2012/01/20/news/doc4f19cdea38889842971812.txt
  20. I could agree with you, however, that would mean we are both wrong
  21. It's not only the DNR stating this FACT.
  22. We ran north to the Little Point and got some up there too.
  23. Thought you would like to know that alewive decline in Lake Huron wasn't due to predation, Both lakes are afflicted by invasive quagga and zebra mussels, which compete with lower food chain organisms for food. Particularly, the mussels’ hoarding of nutrients affected the alewives, the chief source of food for adult chinook salmon. Along with smaller year classes that didn't make it through the winter you have the demise of Lake Huron Alewive's preceding the salmon crash of huron.
  24. Of course you're making the assumption that walleye will eat the carp. And from what you've stated "Not to blow my own horn, but I got Carp Czar John Goss to admit that on record at the Saginaw meeting. The carp are already in the lake, we are waiting for the big bag, a spawn. This has been the pattern so far, they see nothing or a couple then bang, thousands of baby carp" The carp are here already and we're just waiting for the explosion of them in our great lakes, well mainly SW Lake Michigan near Chicago? Not sure how a slot limit on the Saginaw Bay would help control asian carp that are in our lakes in SW Lake Michigan......
  25. I am with you P1. I just don't think there will really be any cause and affect on the asian carp with a slot limit implemented on walleye. I think that is apples and oranges.
