  1. I have stored mine at Water Front Storage for the last 3 years and will be storing it there again this winter.
  2. I fished bass tournaments for years, and ran a salmon tournament series last year. You are suppose to have a marine events permit from the dnr whenever you use a public launch for any event. ie....fishing tournament, wedding, etc, etc, etc If you are using a private launch, you do not need a permit from the dnr, but you should still get permission from the owner of the launch. Some private launches will have discounted launch fees for tournament boats. You should have some sort of disclaimer that protects you in the event someone gets injured. This should be a waiver signed by the captain of every boat, that releases you, and any sponsors from any issues that may happen during the event as a result of you putting on the event. I also have a disclaimer for this website, myself, and any sponsors of this website.
  3. I have been so busy the last 4 weeks, I have not had a chance to get out, except for a week night trip with DIRTY DOG. I had a 4 day weekend last weekend with plans of doing lots of fishing, but the wind prevented that. I am working this weekend. I will not be out on Sunday.
  4. Took an old high school friend of mine fishing last night. First time I have done anything with him in 25 years. We left the dock around 5pm and motored out to 150FOW before we dropped in and started setting lines. Set the first rigger with the temp probe to find the down temp and found it at 95'. Set the rest of the spread around this depth and ended the night(pulled lines at 8:15) 3 for 4. Rigger parked at 95' with a stingray size killer dolphin took a small king and lost one. Fixed slider 10' above the ball on the rigger parked at 95' witha stingray size craig's x-mas took a lake trout. Wire diver on 1 with a mag ring and 300' of line out with and 11" blue paddle with silver holographic tape, with a Siggs Rigs blue and pearl crinkle trophy fly to a small king. It was a nice night on the lake and we caught up on a lot of past time.
  5. Just so everyone knows....This is a 2009 event.
  6. Nice job Jimmy.
  7. Welcome aboard Matt.
  8. Welcome aboard Dan! Don't be afraid to ask any questions you might have.
  9. Nice video Jim. You had a GREAT first year!
  10. I was across the street talking to the neighbor last evening, and spotted this fox going up the road.
  11. The cold water in close will move the bait fish into the harbor/river to where the warm water is. The big fish wont be far from the bait fish, and they should be staging for the run. The big fish will be comfortable in the cold water in close. In Muskegon when the lake rolled over, the channel would be loaded with alewives and we would fish between the arms(outer break walls), or work the 30-50FOW range. COMBAT fishing! BTW.....We did not what a strong West wind on this side of the lake.
  12. This is another video of the same fox I filmed in the yard. He sat down and scratched for over 1 1/2 minutes. Please excuse my sound narration.
  13. Exactly!
  14. Nice job Jim. Its going to take a few days for things to settle back down.
