You may have noticed that the only advertising you see on this website is at the top of the website. I despise websites that are plastered with advertising. Usually you can not navigate around on them without accidently clicking on an ad. Operating costs for this website are around $100 per month, and we are around the break even point. The supporting memberships helps to cover the monthly operating expenses. Bronze Level benefits. 150 private message allowance. The picture of the king came from this report. The depths are in the report. The steelhead came from this trip. I was fishing a tourney 2 days after the trip so I did not give a detailed report.

Orange flies will not catch fish!

I get a few steelhead a year on flies. Here are a couple of pictures. This steelhead was caught on am 11" paddle and a Siggs Rigs blue mist trophy fly. Another steelhead on a fly.

Just checked the Showspan dates. Feb 16-20 is the GR boat show. Feb 24-27 is the Novi show. I dont think the 26 is going to work. How many are planning on going to the GR boat show on the 19 Feb? How many are planning on going to the Novi show on 26 Feb?

I have been waiting for my work overtime schedule for 2011 to plan the seminar dates, now have the schedule. I am planning on Feb 19th for the salmon seminar and 26 Feb for the walleye seminar. Does anyone know of any conflicting shows with these dates?

Thanks Steve! Lots of GREAT information has already been posted. Don't be afraid to ask a question that may have been asked before. I frown on replies that say to "do a search". The way I see it, new members may have joined since the original post was made, and might have a different way of doing things. It also keeps the forums active. If you get a chance, hop on board with someone else who has been doing it a while. It will shorten the learning curve.

I created the new supporting member levels today. If anyone would like to upgrade their membership, please send me a PM. I will check to see how much time you have remaining for your current membership and will figure out a fair amount for the difference.

There will be a few changes to the Supporting Member group for 2011. The current Supporting Member group will become the Bronze Level group. All of the benefits for this group will remain the same. However, the fee to become a Bronze Level member will be increased to $20 per year. Click here to see bronze level benefits. New for 2011 will be a Silver Level membership. Silver Level members receive all of the benefits of Bronze Level members and will have the ability to post items they manufacture for sale in a specific forum that will be created on 1 Jan just for Silver Level members. The fee to become a Silver Level member is $50 per year. New for 2011 will be a Gold Level membership. Gold Level members receive all of the benefits of Bronze Level members and will have a forum created for them in the Supporting Vendors area. An email will be sent to the Gold Level member each time a thread or a post is made. The fee to become a Gold Level member is $100 per year. NOTE: The forum that was created for the Gold Level member will be removed if the Gold Level membership is not renewed. Any post that was made in this forum will also be deleted.

NOTE: The forum created for a Gold Level user will be removed if the Gold Level membership is not renewed. Advertisers will have the benefits of Gold Level members and have their banner in the banner rotation. Supporting Member usergroups are different from Advertisers(Supporting Vendors).

The advertising page for manufacturers/vendors has been updated for 2011. NEW for advertisers in 2011 will be a Supporting Vendor area. Each advertiser will have their own forum in the Supporting Vendor area. Members and Vendors will be able to start threads or reply to threads in these areas.

I read about this a couple of days ago. Some guy from shell predicting this. Seems like whenever they "predict" the oil prices to go up, they do. I would like them to predict they are going to go down. Unfortunately oil is traded as a commodity, and opec would like to see the price of oil at at least $100 per barrel. So much for the economy recovering.
