  1. What size and strength snap swivel is everyone using on their lines? What brand are you using? Sampo????
  2. Welcome to the site White1. Nice to see a mod from MS here. If you need anything, just give a yell. I set you up with a custom user title Mike
  3. Thats a VERY NICE buck you got cazzie! Your dad is proud to show it and you off
  4. Mmmmmm....Fresh bluegill. Nice job Rich! Thanks for the offer on the trip, but I am not able to make it.
  5. Tom, you are currently one of the only members that I am aware of that fishes this deep. Have you ever tried torpedo weights? Torpedo weights have less drag then a ball weight. Less drag will cause this weight to run deeper than a ball of the same weight. I have never ran them, and am very curious about them.
  6. I have never ran planer boards before. I picked up a couple of Church walleye planer boards at the Birch Run show from the Fishdog guys. There is an adjustable weight on the bottom of them. What does everyone recommend for the setting of these weights? Leave them neutral, weight foreward, or weight back??? What do you have yours set at?
  7. Thanks for coming up to me at the show and introducing yourself.

    Birch Run

Just got back from Birch Run. It was nice to be with the Fishdog guys. Six Shooter, Mrs. Sixshooter, Misadjusted and J J Mac showed up.
  9. Should have said you wanted a pair of them. They have a GREAT price on them and everything else at the Birch Run Show.
  10. One thing to note on seeing the thermocline on your fish finders. From the factory they all come set to a default setting. Grab your owners manual and read about how to adjust the sensitivity and other features it has. You might be suprised at how many of them actually will pick up the thermocline.
  11. I am out the door for Birch Run. I will only be there today. If you go to the show at Birch Run today, stop by the FishDog booth, pick up some merchandise and say "Hi"!
  12. Thats a nice fish finder Dan. I would like to see that in action.
  13. I edited your post and added one of the picture you was trying to add. One small problem...I was not sure if you was trying to post a picture of the perch, or your boat, so I added both Just an FYI for posting pictures...continue dragging to the right until you see the at the end
  14. Welcome to the site Frank. Unless the fishing picks up on the East side of the state, I would think you do a lot of running to the West side. If you need anything, just give a yell. Mike
  15. Caznik is the winner of the posting contest. Thanks for all of the posts Rich! I put the certificates in the mail.
  16. Don't forget about the chat tonight.
  17. I received this email from the host. Looks like the site will be down for a few hours Wednesday morning. This is early morning, so most should not be affected. Mike
  18. This is a reminder for everyone about our Wednesday night chat. Chat time is 8pm, but you are welcome there anytime.
  19. Trying to find a date that does not conflict with the other league dates and other big tourney's is what makes it hard. There are only a few weekends that are available early in the spring/early summer.
  20. I can not agree more with you on this. The fisherman that is well adept in various techniques will be the consistant finisher in all tournaments. Rules are rules. It is the tournament director's decission on what the rules are. No one is forcing anyone to fish them. Everyone is more than welcome to put on their own tournament and run it the way they wish. Let me know what day the Inner Tube Tourney is and I will be there. There are some monster carp on the St. Joseph
  21. I have scrapped the idea of putting on a tournament. I am seeing the hassle that Rich is going through with the lures only or cut bait issue. People need to except the rules of the tournament director and go with it.
  22. Did someone say Bass tournaments? I'm having flash backs. I must be at the wrong forums I have fished in over 100 Bass tournaments. Most of them had over 100 boats, and a few had 150 boats. In all of the tournaments, I never heard one person arguing over the rules. People excepted the rules for what they where and fished. Rich, run your tournaments the way you want to run them. It is the tournament director's decission on how he wants to run his tournament. If someone does not want to fish it because they do not like your rules, then so be it. Just be thankful they care enough to put up with the hassle and are putting it on. If I had a boat, I would fish your tournaments with what ever rules you decide. Mike
  23. Look around, kick the tires, and take it around the block. I think you will like what you see. Welcome to the site! Mike
  24. Very well spoken Rick! You could be an outdoor writer.
  25. It is just about time to start fishing on the pond. Does everyone start out fishing big baits or little baits? Spoons or body baits? Is there a "hot" color for spring?
