  1. When I use to fish Bass tournaments, I always tried to prefish a minimum of 2 days before each tournament. How much time do you spend prefishing a salmon tournament? I am not talking league events. I am talking tournaments like the Budwieser Pro Am.
  2. Thanks Tim!
  3. Let us know how it goes. We wont tell a soul
  4. I am thinking all of the rain we got today will cool the rivers down a little and bring another group of them in.
  5. Thanks for the report Eric!
  6. Now that I got your attention. Do you think the color of your rigger balls matters? What color balls are you using for your riggers?
  7. The moon phase is now working again. I turned the module back on.
  8. Yikes It takes me two hours to mow with the tractor. It would take me two weeks to mow with that
  9. Happy Fathers Day! What did I get? It was not what I wanted. I wanted this. But ended up with this. I think I can get a couple of riggers and rod holders mounted on it...but I am not sure of how sea worthy it is. Plus....there is only room for one I think my wife is trying to tell me something.
  10. Nice looking perch Rob. Thanks for the report.
  11. The host of the moon phase is down, and this was causing our home page not to load. I have turned it off for the time being.
  12. Thanks OK...I hit delete once and deleted the duplicate post
  13. Thanks for the report Terry. Get them figured out for us for Tuesday.
  14. I have added a moon phase module to the home page. It shows you what phase the moon is in.
  15. Rep. Jim McGregor of Gahanna is gaining support for legislation he has sponsored to eliminate Ohio's Lake Erie commercial fishing industry. With the Ohio Legislature's summer recess to be followed by fall elections, it is doubtful there will be enough time to make it happen in 2006. With the backing of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, McGregor has promised to re-introduce the legislation in 2007. Read the whole story hear.
  16. Canada's environment ministers are on the verge of adopting a pollution standard for coal-fired power plants. This should have been good news, except the long-awaited standard for mercury emissions sounds as lame as telling your spouse you will now only be cheating once a week. In short, the ministers' proposal to cut mercury emissions means only that Canadians will be poisoned less, but poisoned all the same. The ministers' libertine response to a grave pollution problem gives federal Environment Minister Rona Ambrose the chance to prove her promise to clean up Canada's air and water is more than the sweet-talking we've all heard before. 17. Cross your fingers when you say it, but muskellunge fishing on the continent's best muskellunge lake may be getting back to normal after a weird spring. "Our main problem now is that the water is still very cold. It's at least 6 degrees below what's normal for this time of year," said Brad Horton, president of the Michigan Ontario Muskie Club, which held its annual benefit tournament for the Special Olympics on Tuesday. "We had 67 boats, and 65 of them caught fish. That was good, because I had been worried it might be a lot less than that. But our top number for one boat was 11 (boated) for 14 (hooked). In most tournaments, that's just an average number. We should have had several boats in the 15-for-20 range." Read the whole story here.
  18. Maybe a few of our members would like to help each other out for the tournament. I am not saying to post it on the site, but maybe get in contact with other members and exchange phone numbers or pm's to share information. If I was fishing in the tourney, I would be willing to "share" prefishing information on what is working with "friends".
  19. Its a cooker here today. Good thing the AC is working
  20. I took a drive though South Haven today. They are getting some Skamania's off the pier in the AM on shrimp. The hot set up seems to be putting the shrimp 4 or 5 feet below a bobber. I stopped by the boat launchand passed out a few more cards While I was there, I stopped by the fish cleaning station and helped a couple of anglers clean their 3 steelhead they caught on the pier. One fish had a shrimp in its belly and the other 2 had nothing.
  21. I realize you are on dial up, but in two weeks, I could have loaded up windows xp for everyone to download, and a few other appz. Did it work Tim?
  22. I do not know about everyone else, but we get at least 10 credit card applications in the mail per week. What a waste of trees! I consider these just as bad as spam mail. Sorry if I spammed you about this site There is a way to stop these! You can choose to stop receiving "prescreened" offers of credit from credit card companies by calling toll-free 1-888-567-8688.
  23. We moved into our new house last spring. We spent more money building the house than what we had a loan for. So, we went last summer without AC. We had 30+ days of 90 degree heat last year. I had the A-coil installed when they put the furnace in. After some scrimping and saving, we had enough to pick up the condenser for central air. I just got it fired up and running. Ahhhhhh....bring on the heat
  24. Good point Bob!
  25. Thanks for the follow up. I deleted the double post.
