  1. I went on a charter a couple of years ago, and they were using egg sinkers on their lead core for extra depth. I am going to work with adding egg sinkers to the lines. I would like to be able to achieve the depth of copper without having to switch over to copper and changing rods.

    Fox

Thanks for the offer, but I would like to get him myself.

    Woo Hoo

I have taken 8 deer with the Berretta. I use Winchester x-2 foster slugs in 2 3/4" length. You would not believe how accurate the Berretta is. I think DIRTY DOG uses his Berretta for deer hunting also. He will tell you the same thing.
  4. I can see raising it a few dollars, but doubling it?????? I am thinking this may create alot of poaching. People are going to wait until they shoot a deer, then go purchase a license to tag it.

Maybe this is what happened to the bearded hen turkey I was watching

    Fox

I have not been seeing as many rabbits around the yard as what I did earlier this year. I think this fox has one of my rabbits in his mouth. I think I will purchase a couple traps this year to see if I can get one.
  7. Indication of good lake water Emerald shiners, not seen in years, spotted in the Ausable River in Grand Bend show an indication of good water quality. "It is a clear indication that things are changing," says David Reid, Lake Management Supervisor, Lake Huron. Local residents noticed the minnows earlier this month and contacted the Lakeshore Advance. Staff from Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority (ABCA) and the Ministry of the Environment (MOE) were surprised at the mass amount of the fish. http://www.lakeshoreadvance.com/Local%20News/269372.html
  8. Saugeen Shores is test site for disposing of weed An alien plant species known as common reed is invading areas of the Lake Huron shoreline and causing concern for the Town of Saugeen Shores and its residents. Citizens and members of the municipality fear the rapid growth of the reed and the height of its annual shoots are jeopardizing the beachfront. An estimated two to three metres of the sandy sections are being lost per year at the current rate of increase. Common reed can also reach a height of up to four metres, raising concern that views of the waterfront could eventually be obscured. http://www.shorelinebeacon.com/News/269445.html
  9. LORAIN -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers plans to build a berm around the dike disposal site on Lorain's waterfront, allowing them to continue using the site to hold sediment dredged from the Black River. In a presentation yesterday to the Lorain Port Authority, Corps officials outlined their plan to add the berm to the perimeter of the site in 2007. http://www.morningjournal.com/site/news.cfm?newsid=17499154&BRD=1699&PAG=461&dept_id=46371&rfi=6
  10. I know what I want, and I know what the budget can afford. I want 3 electric down riggers, an autopilot, and a trailer. Unfortunately, we can not afford all of these this year. I am wanting some decent riggers, so the autopilot and trailer are probably out of the question this year. I will have to see what Santa brings me
  11. One of my engines has a power steering pump, and the other does not. Will the auto pilot work correctly with either engine?
  12. Thanks for the answers!
  13. Let me think about it. I was not planning on installing the arcade software here.
  14. I found that deal on the net and purchased it from there. I was skeptical at first, so I called Boaters World on 28th Street in Grand Rapids and asked if the website was them. Yes, Boaters World on 28th Street is the same as the website. Something I found out. Lowrance has discontinued the LCX-111C and the LCX-110. They are coming out with the LCX-113C and LCX-112 to replace these models. This is why the price is so low on this model.
  15. I have ugraded the forums software to the latest and most secure version. Let me know if something is not working correctly.
  16. Thanks for the answer L&M. Now I need to find a way to pull the engine
  17. Thanks for helping me out today Tim.
  18. I have squirrels coming out the wood work behind the house. I may be doing some late season squirrel hunting after deer season(s) are over. Every time I bow hunted, I saw no less than 5.
  19. Yes, you can call it a Great Lakes Fisherman Hold 'Em Tourney. I may even be available to donate some of my money
  20. I need to change the engine coupler on one of the engines in my boat. Do I need to pull the engine to change it, or can I get it by removing the transom assembly?
  21. You could always get your boat back out
  22. Dv8oR and I ate breakfast at Mr. B's today. They do have good food. Thanks for the heads up on them minnow.
