  1. Its hard to determine the fuel mileage of a boat, when you run, troll, then run back in. With a GPS, you can get an idea of the mileage for the day, but it is inaccurate when you figure you trolled for X amount of hours. At what RPM are you getting your best mileage? Notice I did not say mpg.
  2. FISH ON! Some boats should be getting out at the southern end of Lake Michigan. Anyone been out?
  3. Welcome to aboard Matt! Thanks for taking the time and doing an introduction. Cooper is very close to where I live. I live one mile South of Bittersweet Ski Resort. We look forward to seeing you around and your fishing reports
  4. Does this use a seperate cable, or do you replace the rigger cable with the cable for the camera? What's the diameter of the cable? How much blow back do you expect with the unit and cable?
  5. Nice rig FreeTime! Looks kind of like a porcupine with all of those rod holders How many rods do you run at a time?
  6. Nice mess of eyes Dan!
  7. Hey Steve...Do you have a picture of the boat?

I purchased it in the October of last year. I have not decided on a name for yet, but I am leaning towards GLF. I do not have any shots of it rigged. I will get plenty of them this summer. Its a Sea Ray 270 Amberjack. This is Sea Rays sport fishing model. G.L.F. is still in the process of being equipped. I hope to have everything mounted this weekend. Twin 4.3's will get me to the fish and back. My eyes below the water are a Lowrance LCX-111c. I have 3 Big Jon Pro Tournament down riggers, two Big Jon triple rod holders on pedestal bases for running inlines, and two Big Jon singles on the side for handling dipsey duties. I may add two more singles on the sides so I can run 4 dipsey's at a time. This is my first season with the boat. There has never been any salmon scale in the boat. There will be scales in the boat this season. Want list: Radar arch, radar, and autopilot.
  9. Nice looking rigs. Being an ex tournament bass fisherman I can relate to the 70mph on the water. Less time spent going from point A to point B equals more time with your line in the water.

    Nice looking rig Frank!
  11. Here is the forecast 3 days later. Not as nice as the original one....but I will take it.
  12. I went to Muskegon and worked on the boat today. On the way home, I swung past Port Sheldon. I did see a boat between the piers. There is around 50' off ice in front of the main launch. The boat put in at the small launch just up stream. There was pack ice in the lake, and possibly between the piers. It wont be long now!
  13. You got the discount for purchasing 4 or more licenses. Whats the price without the discount?
  14. I use 20lb Berkley Trilene XT in low vis green for the riggers and main lines. I have been debating on switching to 15lb line instead.
  15. This was a 10 July 2005 charter trip out of Ludington. Notice the fish in the cooler in this photo. We filled this cooler and had 4 fish in another cooler. We ended up with 17 kings this day. This is my friend Don with the smallest catch of the day. This was our days catch.
  16. Lets talk fishing! I am so pumped for spring I can barely sleep at night. I will be in the chat room anytime I am online, except when I am at work. Stop by and say "Hi"! FISH ON!!!
  17. Welcome aboard Larry. If you need any help with anything give us a shout. Mike
  18. Does anyone know if the dnr or Ministry stocked salmon in Lake Huron last year? Are they going to stock them this year?
  19. My original game plan was to slip the boat in South Haven for the season, and fish the Big Jon Pro Am. I ended up getting a slip in Muskegon for the season. I still may run the boat down and fish the tourney. I have to see what happens.
  20. Hey....quit it with the snow already I am trying to get pumped up for spring! :D
  21. Are you fishing the Big Jon Pro Am?
