Nice Rig Eric. I see the arch is mounted now. Looks nice! Have you tested the radar yet?

My family and I just returned from a 6 day vacation in Las Vegas. We went to the Monster Jam World Finals...and it was AWESOME!!! I will get pictures and a story posted in the next couple of days.

I picked up 3 Big Jon Pro Tournaments. I will be putting 4' booms on the outside riggers. Couple this with the 10' beam, and I end up with an 18' spread.

They are getting some browns in the plume.

We have a weekly chat every Monday night at 8pm.

Welcome aboard! Did I meet you at the show? Have you been out fishing yet? I went through Port Sheldon a couple of weeks ago, and there was someone between the piers. We look forward to seeing you around. Mike

OK guys. This is not a bash charter captain thread, nor was it intended to be one. All that was meant was for a few of them to possibly start making some fishing report posts. If one decides to make a post is his or her own choice. After a long day on the water, the last thing I would want to do is sit in front of the computer.

I worked Thursday and Sunday in the MiStinger booth. I met several members from the site. Hitman, Lion Den, Tinman5, tangled mess, smalls, and several others. I also passed out over 250 buisness cards for the site. I did not spend any money at the show this year. Not that I didn't want to. We are leaving for Las Vegas this Thursday, and will not be back until Tuesday. I had to make sure I had enough money to play

When I was into bass fishing, I use to troll my bass boat in the spring for jacks. Not wanting to put rod holders on my bass boat, I use to sit on the rods to hold them in place. I used my bass fishing rods, crank baits and stick baits.

Hey, everybody. I'm still getting a lot of phone calls and E-mails asking me about Bay Ice conditions. In my humble opinion, especially after todays 60 degree temp and stiff SW winds, she done for the season. I went over the Saginaw River Sunday on my way to and from the Tittabawassee, and she's was still iced over, but black as midnight. I was lucky enough to get to fish in that 1 1/2 day window of opportunity we had on the Tittabawassee this past weekend, but now she's over her banks and muddy as the Mississippi. And some of the ice floes we both dodged and were rammed by yesterday when we weren't paying attention, were over a foot thick. So the forces that be, have no trouble moving things that would still appear safe to the naked eye. As usual I'm posting a picture of how we did Sunday on the Tibb, but with the inland walleye season closing Thursday, I don't think my next report will be for weeks, until the bay ice moves out or melts. Might be time for you to think about a spring or summer charter booking on either the River or Bay. Either way, be safe, fish smart and tight lines. Capt. Dan.

OK....you guys are killing me! I may have to break out the chain saw and help Dv8oR get a channel to the lake opened up for me

I met several members there and lots of potential new members on Thursday. I am working in the MiStinger/Amish Outfitters booth again on Sunday. MiStinger has a GREAT deal on Stinger spoons at the show. You will not find a better price at any store. Also ask for a demonstration on how the Dive Bomb works. Make sure you stop by and say "Hello"!

I believe this person may be the first one out of Ludington this year. Get busy Tim, I need to get the boat out on the lake!
-
Hey Tim.....Did you get my channel spudded out yet so I can get to the lake?
-
Like Tim said, anyone can fish in this tourney, except charter captains. I will make a post in the next week or two to sign up on.

I worked in the MiStinger booth at the Grand Rapids Sport RV Show today. They are coming out with a new product this year. This is a Dive Bomb. The Dive Bomb is an add-on planing weight. The planing surface at the front of the "DIVE BOMB" compounds the dive curve allowing you to fish deeper without using more weight. It can be attached at any point in your line without retying and will not fray, flatten, kink or otherwise weaken any type of line. These are available in 1, 2, 3, and 4 ounce sizes. Mark Romanack has agreed to include this data in the next edition of Precision Trolling (the bible for controlled depth fishing). A 4 oz Dive Bomb attached to a full core will get your bait down to 68-75'. I dont know about you, but I would rather reel in a full core instead of 15 colors. How to rig: Run 5 colors out and attach the Dive Bomb. Then run the rest of the core out and attach your planer board. You can also use it on mono and get the affect of using a half core. This is a new product, and is not available in any stores yet. They do have some for sale at the Grand Rapids Sport RV Show. Stop by the MiStinger/Amish Outfitters booth for a demonstration. If you stop by the booth, let them know that you heard about the Dive Bomb on Great Lakes Fisherman.

Nice to meet you at the show. Glad you decided to join. I have been trying to talk Dv8oR into spudding a lane from boat launch on Muskegon Lake to the channel, so I can get the boat out. Unfortunately it has not been going as fast A couple of weeks and the reels will be screaming! If you need anything, give me a shout. Mike

The boat is in storage at Muskegon. Muskegon lake is still frozen, and I do not have a trailer for the boat

Here is a today shot of South Haven.

Welcome aboard Tony! Yes, everyone loves to look at pictures. Do you take Rocko fishing with you? Please take a minute and fill out your profile. If you need anything, let out a yell. Mike

Even if you just purchased your unit, there may be an update. There is no telling how long it sat in a warehouse or on a shelf before it was purchased.
