  1. Seeings how every fish is worth 10 points and you are allowed to weigh in any 5 fish.....Why not weigh in 5 lakers? You may be able to get 5 out front without running to GH.
  2. What line was on the divers....wire, superline or mono?
  3. I was not out. Both engines are running hot while at trolling speed. I am pulling the boat back out Monday to change the water pump impellors in the outdrives. I am hoping to be out and back in the same day.
  4. Nice job Dan! How far behind the ball did you run the spoons?

    Icom-422

    Including shipping, I paid $187.96.
  6. Good to hear you got the starter back on and working. A stuck float bowl will cause this. I had this happen on a truck I use to have. Ended up being a clip came off the float bowl.
  7. I had just purchased an ICOM 304 last week. While chatting in the chat room last night, HitMan told me about the features of the ICOM-422 radio. After looking over the new features, I purchased this new radio, and will be sending the other one back. Here are a couple of new features, that make this radio a MUST have! Digital Selective Calling Features DSC uses a unique ID (MMSI code) similar to a telephone number, allowing you to make contact with a specific boater or group of boaters in your area. A total of 100 address IDs can be stored with a 5-character name. Position Request and Position Report with External GPS Receiver With an external GPS receiver, the position request and position report functions allow you to exchange ships position. The received position information can be plotted on a third party GPS or other navigation equipment which accepts NMEA data format. The polling (request/reply) function checks whether a specific ship is in the communication range.

  19. Info on how to upload a picture and post it in a thread is located in this thread. When targeting lakers....are you mainly trolling or jigging? What are your better baits for catching them?

  21. How far South did you go?
  22. Nice report Bill. Get the boat home and get to fishing.
  23. Nice brown Tom. That log in the water looks like it could sink the Titanic!
  24. A week ago Friday, the Coho came in at St. Joseph. This weekend it was a different story. Very few coho were caught to the South. Why is that? Here are my thoughts. There has been a sustained blow from the South for a few days now. If you look at this surface temp image from 4/21/07 at midnight, you will see the band of warm water that is moving into South Haven. I have been wrong before, but I have this feeling, that this is where the Coho are now. If I was going fishing this week, which I am! I would be setting lines at the piers of South Haven, or slightly South, and heading South in 20 - 50 FOW. What are your thoughts?
