  1. It was a GREAT time on the water, except for the fan. It blew hard all day long. Good thing it was out of the East and not out of the West. We ran from Port Sheldon to Grand Haven to fish. We set up in 46' of water on a North troll. Our first fish came on a Stinger Nitro Twister(stingray size) on a half core around sunrise. While I was fighting the fish, the board dove and popped off the line. We could not find the board after we netted the fish. That was the only port side board we had. We trolled back to where we set up and started another North troll. About the same spot we caught our first fish, we hook another fish. This was on a Stinger Nitro E.T.(stingray size) on a rigger set at 45'. This ended up being our big king for the day. It hit the scales at 13.2lbs. We boxed this fish and went back around for another pass. Our next troll through the area a wire dipsey with 70' of line out, on #3 setting, blue bubble spinner with a fly. There is nothing like catching a spring king on a wire rig. You can feel every head shake of the fish. This was our third fish in the box. The wind shifted directions from East to South East. We never had another bump until we was pulling lines. I had just finished reeling in port side rigger line and taking care of the rod, and looked over at the other rigger. The rod was standing straight up and nobody was home. This was a Stinger Stingray Freakin' Veggies set at 45'

  14. The goal is to make it so everyone has the same chance to win. A two person team is only allowed to have a two man limit. They are at a disadvantage to everyone else who has 3 people in the boat and can sort through more fish to weigh in.
  15. I have changed one rule. You are not allowed to have more than a two man limit in the boat. It does not make any sense to set everything up so you can fish it as a two person team, and be allowed to have a 3 man limit in the boat to sort through.

    LMAO!
  17. Perfect Bill! I saw that picture before and forgot about it. On my Sea Ray, the engines are underneath the dance floor, so the gunnels come up a few inches above the knees.
  18. Joe, Good to hear you got it back together and dialed in. Now get out and get fishing! :D
  19. Hey Bill....I have never seen a Penn Yan up close. Whats it like in the back of it? How deep are the sides? Are there engine covers? Can you get a picture coming out of the cabin showing the back of the boat?
  20. Nice and clean fishing machine!
  21. I have my top sprayed with a water proof spray. The water beads off it nicely, but I am still getting drops through the top. I would like to put something that will seal it off better. The top stored when I have the mooring cover on. Whatever I use will need to be plyable. Any recommendations?
  22. I had the boat pulled yesterday, swapped out the impellors and had it put back in. It was just starting to sprinkle when I got the boat to the slip. After a phone call to my wife to check the weather radar, I decided to test it out and do some fishing. I was between the channel and the outer break walls when I finished setting a half core with a stingray mixed veggies. I was getting ready to set a second line when the half core went off. Ended up being a 19" walleye. The sky was getting dark. I made it out to the lake and made two passes accross the front of the piers before I spotted lightning and decided to call it a day. Both engines now hold water temp while trolling. Here fishy fishy fishy!
  23. Nice job Mike. Good to hear the fish are biting somewhere.
