  8. I did a night trip earlier this year and fished till 12:30am. It is hard to see things in the dark unless you have a bright moon, or your boat is equipped with some sort of light(s). I will be adding an arch with some flood lights over the winter. You will need some glow in the dark baits. The Michigan Stinger Nitro series, and Moonshine Lures works well in the dark. Some spinners and flies also come in glow in the dark. I would not mess with running sliders on your rigger rods after dark. It is too much of a hassle to reset in the dark. You will need a way to charge your glow in the dark baits. A 1,000,000 candle power spot light will do the job. A set of cats eyes or a light on your head also comes in very handy. We ran the same trolling speeds after dark that I do during the day. Make sure all of your navigation lights are working correctly. The next time I do a night fishing trip, I think I will do a morning one and be on the water between 3am - 4am instead of staying up late.
  9. I am staying up there....just not in the camp ground. I will be sleeping on the boat.
  10. I will bring plates and plastic wear.
  11. I am not camping, but I will be up there. My boat is around the corner from Fishermans Landing.
  12. I look foreward to your report.
  13. Is there any room for 4 more nets? This has gotten out of hand!
  14. What about D & R sports on West Main(M43)?
  15. Frank has been moved up to moderator status and will be helping out with moderator duties on the site. Please welcome Frank in his new position, by asking him to edit or move a post, picture, or to delete something.
  16. When I first built this site, I had it broke down by lakes and states. With a small members base it was easier to put a few posts in a few forums, then to make a lot of posts in a lot of forums. I think we have enough members now and are at a point where we can fill more forums. I will create sub sections for states, under each of the Great Lakes. Give me a couple of days to get it done. Mike
  17. Check for moisture first. In the instructions it says to apply vaseline to the seals before you screw it back together. If there is no moisture, try it with a 12lb or 15lb weight.
  18. I got this video in an email. Ever see an eagle take out a deer?
  19. Here are a couple pictures of Dv8oR with a couple of our fish.
  20. I think Heavy Action's boat is a 22 Sylvan. Its just like an Islander.
  21. Very Nice Bob! Did you fish out of your new boat?
  22. Every time I see one of those Lake Ontario pigs....... Nice catch Al!

Good point Frank! On my boat I do(did) put it on the dash. The hot bait of the day today was the Nextell i760 flip phone vibrating with a blue fly :D
  24. It sounds like you are getting out of the signal cone. The temp rise may be because it(probe and cannonball) are rising up in the water column because of blow back. How deep are you running it down when you have the issues? What pound cannonball are you using with your probe?
  25. What directions was your best troll? I fished out of Port Sheldon today and our best troll was South.
