Wholly crap there is a lot of fish on that cam! Where is it located?

These companies are making 10+ billion dollars a quarter. You would think they would have more than enough money to properly dispose of the waste instead of dumping it into Lake Michigan.

Not a problem Steve. The photo was from a nighttime Muskegon/Grand Haven trip I took earlier this year. The camera had problems focusing in.

Ever have one of those days when things just go wrong? A bad day on the water is better than a good day at work Thanks for the report! -

We can do a couple of tables if we have enough participants. I am thinking a $10 table and a $20 table. Who is going and what table would you like to play at? -
I spoke with Deb this past Saturday while I was there. It will be $7.00 per plate if you would like to eat at the pig roast.

I think this is the picture Nick is referring to. Notice the arcs on it.

I took half a off work and went fishing with a friend from work and his family. We left the dock noon, and set up on a South troll in 56FOW. At 1:00pm, we had our first taker. This was a nice king on a 2 color core with a Michigan Stinger Orange Killer(Stingray size) in 62FOW. I had the board removed and the fish was 20' behind the boat when it came unbuttoned. Brian man handled the rod the best he could and was a little upset after doing all the work, only to loose it 20' behind the boat We made it down to the nets and turned West to make a troll between the nets. When we hit 85FOW, a full core with a Michigan Stinger Craigs x-mas reverse(Stingray size) went off. Brians older brother Brad was up and I put the full core in his hands. As soon as this rod was in Brads hand, a 3 color with a Michigan Stinger Tangerine(Stingray size) also went. Brian hopped up to the job and was into his second fish. We landed both of these fish. A 10lb king on the full core and a 4lb steelhead on the 3 color. I reset both of these rods and we made it out to 90FOW when a 1/2 core with a Michigan Stinger Chicken Wing(Stingray size) went. Jeff was up next and looked to be a seasoned veteran on the rod. We boxed this fish. A nice 10lb king. The next rod to go was a wire diver with an 11" white protroll flasher with a Siggs Rigs Green Hypnotist fly took a rip in 90FOW. This was set on 3 and had 180' on the counter. I put this rod in Melonies hands. We boxed this 5lb coho. The 3 color with the Michigan Stinger Tangerine went again in 65FOW. Brian was up and hand his hands full getting this one in. Ended up dad hanging onto the rod and he was using both hands to reel it in. We boxed this fish. The fishing had slowed and it was time to change some baits. I let Brian pick out a spoon to put down. He picked out a Michigan Stinger Blue Freakin Veggies. I put this on a 1/2 core and sent it out. We had been on a North troll working our way back to the pier. We were almost straight out from the pier when a the full core with the Michigan Stinger Craigs x-mas reverse went again. We no sooner had the rod in Brads hand and it came unbuttoned. We had to be at Fishermans Landing by 6pm to use the fish cleaning station before the office closed at 6pm. We started pulling lines when the 1/2 core with the Michigan Stinger Blue Freakin Veggies went off. While Brad was we were pulling the rest of the lines. We boxed this fish and it was another king around 10lbs. I showed Brian the lure that we caught the fish on. His face lit up with a smile from ear to ear when he saw it was the bait he picked out. We got the fish in the boat and made a run for Fishermans Landing. We made it there at 5:55pm. Just in time before she left the office. We ended up 6 for 8.

This is one HOT new bait!

The checking on the water is not what I was wondering about. I was wondering why he only asked to see two licenses for the four of us.

Nice job on the fish Duane! I live around 1 mile from you. Take Jefferson road to 21st street. A half mile down on 21st street on the right side, there is a paved road(Pleasantview Drive) between two white picket fences. I am the first house on the right.

Cell phone lost at Dreamweaver Challenge

It still catches fish......but not as well. The vibration of the phone simulates a school of bait fish. -
Is it an Orange Angel Super Glow by Michigan Stinger? Here is a link to Michigan Stinger that has a picture of it. Check out the Nitro page also.

By Jo Napolitano | Tribune staff reporter July 22, 2007 State and local officials hope to shame energy giant BP -- a company that has spent millions in advertising to depict itself as an environmental leader -- into backing out of a plan to dump more ammonia and sludge into Lake Michigan. Sen. Dick Durbin and Rep. Rahm Emanuel went right to the source Saturday, asking people along the lakefront to sign a petition objecting to the proposal. Indiana exempted BP from state environmental laws to clear the way for a $3.8 billion expansion of its oil refinery in Whiting, Ind., the Tribune reported last week. The refinery -- already one of the largest polluters along the Great Lakes -- will be permitted to release 54 percent more ammonia and 35 percent more sludge into Lake Michigan each day, although BP said it will still meet federal guidelines for pollution. Ammonia promotes algae blooms that can kill fish, while sludge is full of concentrated heavy metals. Durbin, who once praised BP for its forward thinking, said he was surprised by the company's plan. "I was one of the people to say, 'This is a different kind of oil company,'" Durbin said at a news conference at Foster Beach, part of the weekend petition drive. "I don't understand what they're thinking. They've gone beyond reason. They can't be the greenest oil company in America and dump into Lake Michigan." Durbin and Emanuel sent a letter to BP's president on Friday, asking him to meet with them in Washington to discuss the proposal. They're also asking the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to clarify its role in approving the permit issued by the Indiana Department of Environmental Management to allow BP to increase its dumping into the lake. Scott Dean, a spokesman for BP, said his company followed all of the proper rules and guidelines and shouldn't be held to a different standard. "This company is investing more than $8 billion in alternative energy, looking at everything from solar to wind to hydrogen," he said. "But we're also in the business of providing consumers with heat, light and mobility. This project is designed to provide more gasoline to Chicago and the Midwest market." Jack Darin, director of the Sierra Club's Illinois chapter, said the main threat is to the water, but the entire incident underscores America's dependence on oil. "We are doing all we can do to make this place cleaner, but we can't do it alone," Darin said. "People remember when the lake wasn't so clean and they don't want to go back to that." The hope of the petition drive along the lakefront is to gather the signatures to send to Indiana's governor, asking him to reconsider the decision to allow BP to move ahead on its plans.

This is the HOTEST new bait to come around in years!

Thanks for the reminder Rich. Someone at work told me I could not put in for one until 1 August.

While fishing the Dreamweaver Challenge on Sunday, we had a DNR boat pull up beside the boat to check licenses. There were 4 of us in the boat, 6 lines in the water, but he only asked to see 2 licenses. This is the first time I have been checked while on the lake fishing, and it seemed odd to me. Is this the norm? I do not have a charter boat sticker on the window, but maybe he thought I was a charter boat????

Nice report Duane. I met you at the Mobile station. Where in Otsego do you live? Mike
