Yes, the picture is from Terrace Point Marina. This year it will be slipped in Bluffton Bay Marina.
  2. Hurry up with your recovery. Hopefully in another 6 weeks or less, there will be some open water reports coming in. Come on Spring!
  3. WOW...Close call! Its good to hear she is OK! If you need anything, let out a yell. Mike
  4. Who is looking for a tax deduction? I found this to be an interesting deduction, while reading a story on audits on msn.com. Busting the IRS Just because a deduction is outrageous doesn't mean it's automatically disallowed. In 1988, Cynthia Hess, a Green Bay, Wis., stripper known as "Chesty Love," claimed a $2,088 deduction for implants that enlarged her bust size. The IRS turned down her claim. In 1994, however, Special Trial Judge Joan Seitz Pate ruled that the result of the implants increased Hess' income and allowed the deduction.
  5. I need to let out a shout and give Brek and big THANKS for all the help on the boat today! We removed both of my outdrives, replaced the trim sensors, and are in the process of replacing the shift cables and bellows. We ran into a snafu replacing the shift cable. I need to make a "special" wrench to remove the shift cable from the outdrive. The new alternator should be here this week. I will put that on when I go back to finish the outdrives. It wont be long and someone will be yelling "FISH ON"! Mike
  6. Brek(Redeye), Brett(WFS) and I resolved this today. I do not know the correct name for the part, but I can describe what we did. There is a compression coupler at the top of the outdrive where the outdrive pivots. This was not tight on both of my outdrives. We tightend both of these today and everything is tight.
  7. rdfishin was ahead of me also. Did one of his drivers get docked points also?
  8. Let me know where you are finding gas that cheap. I could use a couple hundred gallons to start this season.
  9. Check where your cable connects to the throttle and the carburetor. The outer casing may be slipping where it is fastened. One thing you can do if you are trolling to fast is to use bags. Bags will help maintain a consistant trolling speed. Especially in rougher water.
  10. OK...I missed it......How did I move up from 3rd to 1st?
  11. Welcome aboard Joe. Thanks for taking the time and introducing yourself. If you need anything, let out a yell! Mike
  12. The decals are one color and I do not think I can get them the same color as the site logo. The colors I can get are blue, black, and white..........I think. I will check into having them shrunk down.
  13. Thats my problem. I want to haul the boat to South Haven for a week this year to fish the Big Jon Pro/Am. Right now, it is not looking good for me.
  14. The nets are a good place to loose a lot of hardware. If you are planning on fishing around them, I would highly recommend going to the seminar to learn about them. There will be plenty of other charter boat captains giving seminars also.
  15. Welcome aboard Dave! We have a weekly chat in the chat room(fish chat) every Wednesday at 8pm EST. If you need anything, let out a yell! Mike

    Daytona 500

I have liked Ryan since day #1.
  17. Nice job Matt and Roger!
  18. What do you think is going down the sides of the boat in BIG LETTERING! The rub rail across the middle made it near impossible to do the image.
  19. Cudos for them getting the T.V exposure. Unfortunately, I think the T.V. coverage is a few years to late. Everyone is already wondering how the fishing will be over the next few years. I think they would be better off filming Lake Ontario tournaments. At least there they would have some BIG fish to show off. It will be interesting to see how it goes. You can almost bet there will be a couple of teams always on T.V. I guess time will tell.........just like our fishery.
  20. I was up to the Grand Rapids boat show this past weekend and picked up a 2008 Tournament Trail. The Big Jon Pro/Am has three divisions. Pro, Amateur, and Under 24'. What are your thoughts on the extra division?
  21. Do we draft new teams every week, or is this our teams for the year? One of my drivers finished 1st, another finished 3rd, but #29 pushed my other driver up and took him out of the race. I think that will happen when you bump draft someone going into a turn.
  22. I will be putting the name on my boat this spring. Problem is.....I can not decide how I want it to look. The colors are off in the first photo, but the wrap around affect matches the site. The second one is another possiblity. What do you think????
  23. I have a bad alternator for one of my engines, and am getting ready to replace it. I started doing research on batteries and charging systems. The web is full of useful information. Has anyone heard of a "Centerfielder" module? Here is a good read about alternators. I have a couple of questions for all of the members. 1. How many batteries do you have in your boat? 2. How many amps is your alternator? 3. If an alternator does not charge until 1,200rpms, have you changed the pulley on your alternator so it will charge at a slower RPM?
  24. I ran these all of last season. There is a rubber plug that holds the line to the Dive Bomb. I honestly think I was getting fish from the 75-80' with a 4oz Dive Bomb on a full core. Stinger redesigned the Dive Bombs for this year. They have an even bigger planing surface, with the same amounts of weight. I was hoping the depth curves would come out last year, but they never materialized. This spring, I will spend some time testing, and come up with my own depth curves.
