  1. Here is my son Hunter and his big king for the year. This was on a full core that he reeled in all by himself.
  2. The other day the dredge was parked there. I think its a barge they left behind when they moved the dredge because of the gale force winds.
  3. I added this to the calander. It will show up at the bottom of the site 30 days prior to the tourney.
  4. Have you seen any of Walleye Expresses meat conversions for spoons?
  5. This will take me almost 2 hours to dl. Maybe I will get it started before I go to bed
  6. I took the day off work tomorrow. I am going to sneak down to St. Joseph with DIRTY DOG. Hopefully the fish coporate after the blow. Anyone else going to be out tomorrow?

  9. Welcome aboard George. Its good to have a member who is in the Coast Guard on board. If you need anything, let out a shout. Mike
  10. Welcome aboard Little Nemo. I think most of the members are from the West side of Michigan. This is where I live and do the most leg work to promote the site. Its that time of year.....tight lines and screaming drags! My boat wont go in the water for a few more weeks. There is still ice in my marina We have a weekly chat in the chat room every Wednesday night at 8pm EST. Stop by and say "hi" if you get the chance. You can add your moto to your signature in the usercp. Then it will show up at the bottom of every post. This is where you can add your avatar, and some personal information about yourself if you choose. If you need anything, let out a yell! Mike

  13. Thanks for the report Mark! Hopefully you have better luck next time out. I am still waiting to get out this year. Maybe this week
  14. Looks like he has a looonnggg beard.
  15. Do you have the date(s) for this? This is on the calander now.
  16. Short links usually work without having to use the "insert link" feature. Its the links that are a couple of lines long that do not work properly.
  17. Bill, There is a time limit on how long you can edit a post. You should be able to add links. Sometimes the links are to long and the website software does let the link work properly. What you have to do in this case is: type a word or what you want to call it left click, drag accross it and highlight it click on the insert link(globe with chain link) copy the link from the page you want into the box(make sure you do not put 2 htp:// in the link) click on OK Is this the page you were referring to? Give a shout if you have any more questions. Mike
  18. This was hooked up to the good battery.
  19. Both switches(throttle and trailer mode) caused the solenoid to click, but the motor would not run. I checked the inline fuse, and it looked good. Next time I head up to the boat, I will bring an electrical meter with me. I have plenty of room to work on it without removing it.
  20. One of my outdrives(Mercury Alpha I) will not trim up or down. I had the problem at the end of the season last fall. I changed out the trim sensor and it still is not working. I can hear the relay clicking when I try to trim it up, but it does not move. I did not have an electrical meter with me to check voltages. Why are there 3 wires going to the trim motor? Can these motors be repaired? Any ideas on what else to check?
  21. One of my two batteries is bad. Since the other is a couple of years old, I am going to replace it also. I am debating on what to put in for batteries, and how I should hook them up. I have read several things on them, but I am still unsure how I want to go about it. Currently both of my batteries are seperate and are charged from each each engines alternator. My down riggers are wired into one battery. If I am not trolling with that engine, the battery is not getting charged. I also have a 2 bank on board charger for charging them when the boat is hooked up to shore power. Whats everyone running for batteries? How many MCA's? For those that have twins, how do you have your riggers and batteries set up?
  22. WTG ED! I went and worked on my boat today. While I was there, I went and took a stroll on some concrete to see if anyone was catching anything. I saw 4 steelhead laying on the concrete.
  23. Nice job Roger and Teresa!
  24. Do you mean shoot through or through hull? Shooting through the hull is not the way to mount a transducer. You loose a lot of sensitivity shooting through the hull. A through hull transducer(hole is drilled in the hull and transducer mounted on the bottom) is the way to go. You do not get the air bubbles on the bottom of the boat you get off the transom. My transducer is mounted on the transom, and I loose bottom contact around 22mph. I got the deal of deals for a fish finder last year. I picked up a close out model(LCX-111C) for $1,300. The normal price on this unit was $2,400. The LCX-113C replaced the unit I picked up. This unit is like having a big screen tv onboard. From the back of the boat, I can see what is on the fish finder. One small draw back about the size. It takes up a lot of room. I held my unit in several locations before I decided on a location to mount it. If I would have mounted it up on the dash, it would have obscured my vision while driving the boat. If you are going for a chart plotter combo, make sure you get one that you can add a navionics chip to. A navionics chip will show you the depth contours of the bottom on your chart. Most of the navionics chips show the inland lakes also. My unit is a dual frequency unit. I use one frequency in shallow, and the other when I am fishing deeper. After you get your fish finder you should check the firmware on it to make sure it is up to date. There is a good post in the marine electronics section which talks about fish finder firmware. Spend a day reading the manual and getting familiar with your unit. A lot of people buy a fish finder, put it on the boat and dont know anything about the features.
