  8. Only 13 more days till the money needs to be in for the lure package.
  9. Here is a spring steelhead we got while fishing out of Muskegon on Lake Michigan on 4/19. This is my son Hunter reeling in the steelhead. Both of my boys were in the cabin playing while we we testing dive bombs. They do not have to have life jackets on when they are in the cabin, only when on deck. Hunter is old enough, and does not need to wear a life jacket. Wyatt should have had one on. 8dkkab05STI
  10. I took my boat out on the lake for its maiden voyage yesterday. My plan was to test the Dive Bombs and work on some depth curves. While we were testing the dive bombs, we had 3 inline boards out. We ended talking one 3lb hen steelhead on a 2 color with a #9 orange jointed Rapala. She came in 30 FOW. We marked some baitfish in the 20-30FOW range. After finishing the testing, we put out a full spread. We never had another bump. The surface temp was 51 in shallower and 49.8 in 35FOW. We saw several boats out fishing. Listening to the radio, there are a few fish being caught. One boat fishing in 70FOW had 3. It was a beautiful day the lake yesterday until the wind kicked up. Then it felt like the temperature dropped 10 degrees. I think we would have picked up more fish if we would have started off targeting fish.
  11. Nice fish! I think I hooked into one of those below the Allegan Dam. Whatever I had on was BIG, and there was no turning it. It was a slow and steady pull, and spooled me. When it hit the end of the spool, the hook straightend out.
  12. I had this happen this past fall when I had my boat pulled for the season. Both of my outdrives were stuck in the down position. Luckily my boat storage place was able to lift the boat high enough with their trail so we could get it out without having to do what you mentioned. I had a bassboat with an outboard. The trim went out on that during a tournament. There is a relief screw(I think it was on the starboard side) that I loosed up, and I was able to lift the outboard. Once the outboard was lifted, I tightend the screw, and the outboard stayed up. I wonder if their if a relief screw on I/O's hydraulic pumps? I did not check when my boat was pulled.
  13. Nice Job Frank! Looks like fresh cheeks for dinner!
  14. Nice job Kevin. It wont be long and the fish will be in full bloom!
  15. Its still happening in St. Joe.
  16. I will be doing some testing out of Muskegon on Saturday morning. After I finish the testing, I am going to change up and start fishing. I will be on channel 68. Anyone else going to be out of Muskegon on Saturday?
  17. Nice looking brown Bill. Whats that on top of its head?
  18. Can you post a report when you get back? Thanks, Mike
  19. Muskegon does not have a spring coho fishery. If you want browns and steelhead, try the shallows with hot-n-tots, thin fins, x-raps, or other stick baits. Small dodgers and peanut flies may also produce for you. You may pick up a king if you make some passes through the plume around the piers. Try to stay around the edge of where the dark and light water meet. Watch for the temp breaks Weather permitting, I will be out on Saturday. My first priority is getting the dive curves for the Dive Bombs. I still have some things to do to my boat, but my boys are wanting to catch some fish. So.....after I am finished with the dive curves, I will be changing up and chasing fish.
  20. Don, What port are you going to be fishing? Muskegon?
  21. I tried it yesterday and it did not work either. It is working now. Good luck fishing, and we hope to see your video.
  22. They may be setting up for the dredge. I think it is scheduled to start soon.

  24. A lot of the inland lakes have zebra mussles already. Most of these came from boats and pleasure craft. Is it possible they are carried by waterfowl???? I would like to know what they are going to stop the asian carp from getting into Lake Michigan. This should be at the top of their discussions!
