  1. The owner of the Bullet Bobber has contacted me about having his product tested. According to him it is not a deep water float. He says it does work in rivers. I am not sure if it will work in the shallows for coho. Testing will tell. Those that have volunteered to be a tester, please take a look at his site. If your are interested in testing it, get familiar with his site and the product. Let me know if anyone is interested in testing it. I have to get paper work written up to protect my butt, just in case we publish something they may not want printed.
  2. This is a new thing we are trying, and I have no idea how much product will be coming in. There is one catch to becoming a Field Tester. You must have a boat, so you can test the product. If you do not want to become a Field Tester, you can still become a supporting member and help to support the site.
  3. I have created a new Field Testers Review section on the forums. Manufacturers products will be tested by our Field Testers and an unbiased review will be written by them.
  4. I have created a Field Testers Review section on the forums. This section is for reviews of products that manufacturers have submitted. Only supporting members will be allowed to be Field Testers. What will I have to test? This could be anything from flies, flashers, spoons, divers, and more. I have no idea what will be submitted. What is required to be a Field Tester? You must have a boat to test the product to be a field tester. You will have to write an unbiased review(I will make up a generic review to go by) for the product in the Field Testers Review Section. The product has to be tested and a review made within 2 weeks of receiving the product. Field Testers "should" be able to keep the product after they have tested it. I am not sure what will be submitted, so I can not say a definate yes. Who knows.....maybe someone will submit a boat to be tested? Would anyone like to test a 32' Tiara??? If you are sponsored already by a manufacturer please let me know so I will not put a competitors products in your hands. If anyone would like to be a field test let me know. Mike
  5. Only field testers are allowed to start threads in this section. How does one become a field tester? Supporting members will be used as field testers. When product comes in, it will be put into the hands of a field tester to be tested and write a review about.
  6. Getting an unbiased review of your product can be very important to how potential customers perceive your product. You may be sitting on a gold mine, and not have a way of getting it known. Let one of our field testers review your products. If you have a product you would like one of our field testers to review, please contact me at [email protected] and put "Field Test" in the subject line, and I will put your product in the hands of one of our field testers.
  7. I will be upgrading the forum software on Friday around 4:15pm EST. The site will be down for approxiamately 1hr during the upgrade. Mike
  8. Since there are over 10 boats in the tournament. There will be a Cannon mag 5 or mag 10 downrigger raffled off at the weigh in. Every boat entered will have their boat name put in a hat. The winner of the event will draw the winner of the Cannon downrigger. Every boat has an equal chance to win it.

  11. Are there any members of the site who work in the IT field, and familiar with servers?
  12. I was thumbing through the May issue of GLA magazine I received in the mail on Friday. I got to page 61, and noticed a picture of Dv8oR holding up a king from the Northern King Challenge. Looks like you are famous bro! If you do not get GLA Magazine, this is the photo that is in the magazine.

  14. I try to run a rubber bandless boat. One less thing to mess around with when setting lines. The only time I use a rubber band is when I am fishing rough water and they are releasing from the clips while trolling. I will wrap a rubber band around the line and clip to keep it from coming off.
  15. Way to go Rich, Dominick and Bryn! The only better than kids in photos with fish, is being with them when the catch them.
  16. Wow! That big one is a beauty! Great pictures!

  18. That boat looks in GREAT shape! You and your family will enjoy it.
  19. Just a reminder. There will be a cannon mag 5 or 10 raffled off if there are over 10 boats in the tourney. If there are less than 15 teams, only two spots will be paid out. 1st - 60% 2nd - 40% 15 teams or more will pay out 3 spots. 1st - 50% 2nd - 30% 3rd - 20%

  21. Good point Frank!
  22. In the chat room on Wednesday night, we got talking about church walleye boards. We were talking about ways of preventing the board from sliding down to the bait if the front clip releases. Some people use speed beads above the spoon, I use a swivel and bead above the spoon, and others use a rubber band, attached to the pin and line to prevent it from sliding down. One thing I thought about was putting a loop in the line(I am not talking about tying a knot) where the pin holds the line on. Once the loop is through the pin, the line would be pulled tight around the pin. I am thinking this "may" prevent the board from sliding down. I am going to test this the next time I get out. Has anyone ever tried this?
  23. If you watch closely, you will see my hand slipped off the net.
  24. Nice bird and picture Rich! But.....I do not see a date stamp on it.
  25. It would only make sense to have a relief screw just in case there was an issue
