  6. I decided I was going to do some testing. I picked up a 450' spool of 200lb test Power Pro today. I am planning on respooling one of my down riggers with it, and trying it out. I currently use the clincher pads for my terminations on my cable. Will a clincher pad work with the Power Pro?
  7. Nice job John! Maybe we should change your username to fish slayer.

  14. I would not want that gas bill!
  15. The extended forecast looks good, so far. This is Michigan, and it can change in a day!
  16. I have caught walleye, smallmouth bass and sheephead, but never a pike.
  17. Don, The Dive Bomb planes down, not to the side. You will not have a problem a 4oz DB and a full core. I run them like this all the time without issues. This setup should get your bait down around 80'.
  18. Anton, How far you clip above it is your choice. You can clip it 6ft above your bait if you want. Then you do not have to remove it when you have a fish on. The one problem you may have with this is, someone may not stop reeling before they get to the dive bomb. The rod tip may knock the plug out of the dive bomb, and you may end up loosing it. Generally, I attach it to the first color of lead after the leader.
  19. Why the question about the carpet???? I caught this fish last May. When the fish hit the bottom of the boat, the scales went flying as the fish flopped around. There was carpet on the bottom of the boat.
  20. Nice looking fish Kevin! How big was the pike you caught? How often do you catch pike while salmon fishing? I see a lot of scales missing from the fish. Do you have carpet on the deck of your boat?
  21. I added a bunch of new catagories over the weekend.
  22. I am glad to hear they are OK!
  23. Nice job BIll! I love seeing reports with fish pictures in them!
