B-Dog is a Golden Retriever. I wanted to name him GLF, but my wife and boys said NO!

"B-Dog" was born on 12/04/08, and will be joining our family on Jan 23rd. We let our sons picked out his name. B-Dog will be spending the weekends on the boat with my sons and I. I wonder if I can train him to drive the boat.

I love modern technology! I switched to ATT and went with the iphone. This phone is a piece of work! The iphone is fully interent capable. Now I can post and read reports while up on the boat, and out on the water. There are many applications(some are free, and some you have to pay for) that you can download to the phone and enhance its performance. One of them is radar. I wanted a radar for the boat. I can not afford the radar, but I can afford a cell phone. With the iphone, I can view radar images that are less than 10 minutes old on the phone screen. Here is ascreen shot of an application for radar on the iphone. This is a $9.99 app. This is the description of this application. I was amazed at what I can do with this phone, and some of the applications that are available for it. This application also works with the ipod touch.

This is for those of you who have me on your 2-way direct connect. I have switched cell phone carriers. I do not have the 2-way direct connect feature anymore. Please delete my old direct connect number from your phone. My cell phone number is still the same. Mike

I completed the repair on the links directary database and believe it is working correctly now. *GLF wipes the sweat off his eyebrows!* I HATE having to work in the database! Denny, Welcome to the site. Fishhawk is the only manufacturer of a wireless probe. They came out with a new unit and probe this year. The new unit is the X4. You can see and read about the new unit here. Here is some information about the new probe.

It was brought to my attention about an issue with the links directary not working correctly a week after I did the gallery software upgrade 3 weeks ago. I had to work both days last weekend and was not able to work on it then. If I do a restore of the database now, every post that has been made since the upgrade(3 weeks of posts) will be lost. Instead, I will attempt to repair the links directary database. The website will be down for 1 - 2 hours on Sunday morning while I attempt to repair the links directary database.

I think this thread is in the walleye ice fishing section by mistake. I am not familiar with the panzie name, so I am not sure.

Do you have any issues getting the fish close enough to the back of the boat to net with a 10' leader?

Are you running the 10 ft leader with a flasher fly combo, or is this with a spoon or plug?

I like the idea of a 5 fish limit. I think this is a step in the right direction. I would rather see them harvest to many salmon and still have a fishery, than to not harvest enough and end up like Lake Huron. Maybe this will help bring back some of the bait fish. I realize there are other factors that are affecting the bait fish population. The last 2 years, it seems the size of the fish on Lake Michigan has gotten smaller. Too many predators and not enough prey. This will also make it easier for people who can not distinguish the species very well. Now all WE have to do is count to 5.

I saw 4 people on the lake today on the way home from work.
