  1. My father first took me in 1973 or 1974. I know he bought a new boat in the winter 74/spring 75, and my father said we had the old boat for 1 1/2 years. Here is a very young GLF with a couple of fish from Ludington in 1974 with the old boat.
  2. This has been a great spoon for me on Lake Michigan the last couple of years.
  3. The charts link in the upper navbar are free to view.
  4. Rock solid and you can adjust them with one hand!
  5. I know of a 30lb king that was caught on a Stinger scorpian size spoon.
  6. Kawabunga! Its hard living in Michigan and seeing all of the BIG Lake Ontario fish being posted. Its nice to see some fish that make the Lake Ontario Kings look small.
  7. I fish Stingers. Stinger spoons are probably the most speed tolerant spoon on the market. They are a light weight spoon and can be trolled slow, or fast. They can be trolled slower than I can get my boat slowed down. Generally I troll around 2.7-3.0mph on a gps.
  8. Welcome aboard Richard. Whats the biggest fish you have caught?
  9. I would use the 3M 5200 marine sealant on it.
  10. Maybe the cold temps caused a little shrinkage. Did you rub some pertroleum jelly on the seal?
  11. That explains everything.
  12. How did you know the fish were suspended? Who has a fish finder?
  13. Welcome aboard Larry! Thanks for taking the time and doing an introduction. I see a couple of steelhead(one is a real beauty) in your avatar picture. Did you get them from a river of the big lake? If you have questions, dont hesitate to ask.
  14. You may here the term "washing spoons" also. This refers to pulling spoons around all day and not getting bit.
  15. We love looking at fish porn like this. What did this one weigh?

    Busy

I am up to my ears in work. I have mostly just been checking on the site. I am updating all of the new flasher images for Stinger(I have them all now, maybe I will let out a sneak peak). I am working on another website, and have to build 2 more. I want to build a couple more custom pages for this site. Our new dog(B-Dog) is also keeping me/us pretty busy. Tick tock tick tock....it will be spring and we will be fishing before I know it.
  17. Thats a sweet looking rig you have. Did you do the engine swap yourself? Did you do all the rigging? It wont be long and you will be yelling "Fish On"! Somewhere's on the site is the "fish on" song. You will have to get it and put it on a cd so you can play it on the lake.
  18. Welcome aboard Kjell! We have a member from Australia, Russia, Scottland, and I am sure other countries. Dont be afraid to ask if you have any questions. Mike
  19. Welcome aboard Dave! We have several members who fish Lake Erie and Lake Ontario. It wont be long and we will all have a boat seat under our butts again. If you have any questions, dont be afraid to ask. Mike
  20. I run Dive Bombs religously. I use church walleye boards, and moved the adjustable weights foreward to help compensate for the extra drag. You can run multiple dive bombs on the same side. Run your largest dive bombs on the inside, and work out in size from there.
  21. I have never heard of that name. Ask him if you can have a new edition of the precision trollers guide. Make sure you ask him about dive bombs and copper. Oh yeah....dont forget to mention this site.
  22. Lord of the Riggers has came on board as an advertiser. Check out their website for a GREAT price on Big Jon gear! www.lordoftheriggers.com
  23. It should work fine with your probe. The probe needs to be connected to the coated cable for it to work properly. Then attach the attractor below your probe.
  24. Our newest member of our family is coming home with us on Monday. We will put his bling back on him when we pick him up. We have two very excited boys. RKlGKR0Ye0U
  25. This turned into a really good thread! Hey Robert....I have a solution for you and the rod holders. Just clamp 2 or 3 rod holders on each side, on the hand rails on your arch. Just ask a fisherman....they have all the answers. :D
