  1. Hi Adam! Welcome aboard the site!

  2. I am using Shimano Talora roller rods for my wire rods. A counter with a reel is a must for wire line. Without a reel with a counter, you will not know how many feet of line you have out, and how deep your diver is. Copper line is entirely different, and you do not need a roller rod or a reel with a counter.
  3. Copper line and wire lines are two different lines. I use 30lb wire line on my diver rods. I use roller rods that have a rotating tip, with the wire line. I attached my wire directly to the spool, and wrapped it with electrical tape. I do not use the copper line, and can not comment on that.
  4. Did you get your camera resealed?
  5. Nice job Nick!
  6. Coast Guard, fire crews rescue 150; first reports said up to 500 were stuck OAK HARBOR, Ohio - One ice fisherman died while crews rescued some 150 others after they became stranded on a slab of ice about 8 miles wide on Lake Erie. Ottawa County Sheriff Bob Bratton said one fishermen fell into the water while searching with others for a link to the shoreline. The Coast Guard initially estimated that 300-500 fishermen were stuck on the ice. Authorities said fishermen apparently had used wooden pallets to create a bridge over a crack in the ice so they could go farther out on the lake. But the planks fell into the water when the ice shifted, stranding the fishermen about 1,000 yards off shore. "The ice just separated and we didn't even know," Rich Strickland of Bowling Green, who was among those rescued, told the Port Clinton News Herald. Another rescued fishermen said the ice shifted after a ferry passed by. Mike Sanger of Milwaukee was in the area for walleye fishing. "We were having a good time and when it got to be time to come home, it wasn't so good," he told the newspaper after being rescued. Ice on western sections of Lake Erie is up to 2 feet thick, National Weather Service meteorologist Bill Randel said. He said it started to crack as temperatures rose above freezing this weekend and wind gusting to 35 mph pushed on the ice. The fishermen were near Crane Creek State Park on Lake Erie's west shore in northern Ohio when the ice broke. Such strandings happen every winter, but rarely are so many ice fishermen caught on one floe. Ice fisherman who regularly visit the lake have said this winter’s thick ice has lured more people to the lake this year. "There was a heck of a city out there for the last week and a half, two weeks," said 71-year-old Oak Harbor resident Peter Harrison, who has lived on the shore for 40 years. Ohio Division of Wildlife spokeswoman Jamey Graham said the state annually warns fishermen that there’s no such thing as "safe ice." Story

  10. Is that boat an Amberjack?
  11. I ran the Stinger(JimBob) pancakes 1/2 of two seasons ago, and all last season. I fished in 3-5' waves, and went every direction in the waves. I have yet to have a tangle. I bent the tails out just a tick. I fish out of a 27' Amberjack that weighs around 10,000 lbs and does not get blown around like the lighter boats.
  12. Welcome aboard Ron! Thanks for taking the time and doing an introduction. I have been looking for volunteers to spud a channel out to the big lake. Maybe you will have better luck than I am. If you need anything, let out a yell. Mike
  13. Nice job Richard. Thanks for sharing the fish porn with us!
  14. Nice pictures Aaron! I have one more I need to get scanned.
  15. I thought it was a pretty good game. Take away the 100yd touch down interception at the end of the 1st half, and Arizona would have won. Unfortunately, I did not hit on any of the numbers for the Super Bowl pool I was in.
  16. Tell you what.....I will go ice fishing if you spud out the boat launch and a channel out to the open water on the big lake for me.
  17. I just checked the satellite image of Lake Michigan. There is a large shelf of ice along the East side of the lake. Its looking like it will be a long time before we can hit the lake.
  18. Who is going to win the Super Bowl?
  19. Are you going to buy me a 38' Rampage also? It will only set you back $500,000 or so.
  20. Sheesh....your making me feel bad. OK.....I will buy them for you....after you buy me my new 38' Rampage!
  21. Just curious....did you ever find that banana under the seat of your new boat?
  22. Thanks for posting this Chris. I got side tracked on something else and forgot to post it. Mike
  23. Nice job Craig! If you have your zip code entered, you will get a 3 day forecast and a radar image for your area.
  24. Nice job on the eyes.
