Same spoons, same flashers, same flies, and same plugs! Everyone is limited to having no more than 6 lines in the water at one time. The lures in your lure package are the only lures you are allowed to use. If you loose one or all of your baits, you are not allowed to replace it/them with another lure from your box. What does is cost to fish in the event? The total cost for this years event is $80. The lure package costs $50, and the entry fee for the event $30.00($5.00 go's toward big fish pot). If you were to purchase all of these lures individually, the cost would be over $85.00. What does the lure package consist of? The lure package will consist of: 6 Stingray Spoons(1 Nitro) 2 ProTroll Flashers 2 Siggs Rigs Flies 2 Silver Horde Plugs(1 Silver Horde, and 1 Ace Hi) Entry fees must be paid for by 25 July. I have to send out checks to each of the different sponsors for the lures in the lure packages. What color are the baits in the lure package? At this time, the colors are unknown. When I receive the lure packages. I will post a picture of the lures. The last 2 challenges I ran, I had a custom spoon in each one. This years package "may" have a custom spoon, flasher, fly, and silver horde, which will only be available this year in this package. Can I just pay for the discounted lure package and not fish in the event? Absolutely not! If you do not show up for the event, your lure package will be DONATED as a prize at the event, and your money WILL NOT be refunded. In the event you sign up for the challenge and can not make it, you may try to find someone to fish in your place. When will I get my lure package? I will have everyones lure package in a bag at the boat ramp by 4:30am, the morning of the event. You MUST be checked in and receive your lure package by 5:30am. I am leaving the dock at 5:30am. 9. My wifes show(Biggest Loser) is on at 8pm on Tuesday nights. For some reason, I think I will be missing the start of the new season.
  10. This must be why I could only find one there!
  11. You bet I am! Things did not work out for me this spring and I was not able to take the boat down to St. Joseph like I wanted to. Getting hit by that tree really set me back. This week has/is also a bad week for me. I am hoping things start to go my way next week.
  12. OK.....I know they work GREAT on coho already! :D :D I only purchased one, because that was all they had. I am scrounging around some of the other bait and tackle shops to see if I can find more. If only my boat was in St. Joseph now.
  13. Vince knows what he is doing on the lake. If the thermocline is down 60', why do you need to be in 150 FOW? Why not set up in 60 FOW, and drop the balls to the bottom? When the lake rolls over, and the cold water is in close, you will find me in 30-50 FOW. I have ran into Vince at depths of over 130'.
  14. I picked up this Thin Fin at D & R Sports today. I am trying to decide if it will catch fish, and if I should add it to my arsenal. What do you think?
  15. Nick, I will sell you 2 of them for $30. You can pay for shipping for them, or I can try and catch up with you some time this summer. Let me know what you want to do.
  16. Thanks for the Corona Ken. Since this is Michigan and there is a $.10 deposit on the bottle, I will give it back to you. Can I have another?

  23. When I was in the Navy, I went to the Sequoia National Park. I purchased a Giant Sequoia on eBay a month ago. I planted a Giant Sequoia in the back yard last week. Our tree is 4 years old. Here is a picture of a Giant Sequoia in Manistee. "This is a picture of my son and state of MI giant sequoia, located in Manistee MI picture taken 5-05. There are 2-3 other sequoia's including an offspring of the biggest tree. It was planted in 1949 after carying it home in a coffee can." Does anyone know where this tree is in Manistee?
  24. GREAT job Ed! Nice looking brown. Whats your setup when fishing from the beach?
  25. Yep....I would rather catch the dinner instead of watching it grow.
