  1. Change of plans. We decided to stay away from the goat rodeo, and I am headed to South Haven with DIRTY DOG, fishsniffer, and Silver One in the morning.
  2. Welcome aboard Lee! My sons are out every trip with me when I go fishing. I am taking my brother and his son fishing tomorrow. It is my nephews first time on the lake. We look forward to seeing some reports from the West side of the lake. If you need anything, let out a yell!
  3. Nice job Scott! I am heading there on Saturday with the rest of the state.
  4. What channel does everyone monitor at St. Joseph?

  7. Thanks Matt(Siggs Rigs) for sponsoring this event! Make sure you have the date turned on for your camera! Good luck to those of you who turkey hunt!
  8. This is the official 2009 Turkey Hunt Photo Contest Entry Thread. Post your turkey pictures in a reply to this thread. This is a best photo, not biggest beard contest. When all of the turkey seasons are over, there will be a nomination thread to nominate the finalists. The top 5 nominated photos will be put in a poll for members to decide the winner. The only way to tell if the picture is taken from this year is to have the date stamp on it. The date of the picture needs to be displayed on the photo, so make sure you have the date stamp turned on. You are only allowed to submit one photo, and you are not allowed to submit one for someone else. Tips for photos: Be creative Select a good background where you are going to take your picture Try not to show any blood in the photos Siggs Rigs is sponsoring this years contest. The winner of this years contest will receive 6 trophy/pulse flies from Siggs Rigs.
  9. WOW....Nice fish Hank!
  10. Looks alot like a flatfish, and it has an echip.
  11. I splashed my boat last week, and discovered I have to change the impeller in one of my outdrives. I am pulling the boat this Friday, and hauling it home to do the work. I am going to change impellers in both outdrives while I have it at home. Since I am bringing it home on Friday, I am going to haul it down to St. Joseph on Saturday and fish. Is anyone else going to be in St. Joseph on Saturday? Here is the offshore forcast for Saturday. Hopefully it holds. SATURDAY SOUTHWEST WINDS 5 TO 10 KNOTS. WAVES 1 FOOT OR LESS.
  12. I picked up a couple of these ProTroll Stingfish at D & R Sports today. They look good, and I hope to put them in the water this weekend in St. Joseph. Has anyone used them for spring coho before?
  13. Welcome aboard Hank! Whats you biggest Lake Ontario king? We love looking at fish porn. Do you have any pictures?\ Mike
  14. There will be a turkey contest. Siggs Rigs stepped up to the plate and will sponsor the contest. I will make a post tomorrow with the details.
  15. Welcome aboard Peter! If you have any questions, just ask. If you need help spending money, we can do that also.
  16. Nice job Duane. Was the rod a Shimano talora and a convector reel?
  17. I believe the other fish they were considering stocking in Lake Michigan were stripers. Myself, I am glad the stocked the salmon. Did I mention how tasty the salmon are? Yes the government needs to be proactive instead of reactive to the invasive species. Unfortunately, this seems to be the way things operate. I can not believe they have not come up with something else instead of the electric barrier. Something needs to be done now before they get past it instead of after they get past it. This is another case of them being reactive to a situation.
  18. I will look into this and see what I can come up with.
  19. Welcome aboard Todd. How long does it take you to get to Ludington? There have been several replies to your other thread in regards to Okuma reels. How did you find the website? Mike
  20. Teams entered in the Great Lakes Fisherman Challenge. GLF Paulywood fishsniffer DIRTY DOG 1MAINIAC BIGTREBLE joelsanders
  21. Usually your copper rods have bigger eyelets. This is needed for the copper to pass through more easily. They also need bigger reels to hold all the copper. That is what I meant by needing the special rod and reel.
  22. Nice job Jay! I wish I could have gotten my boat down there for a few weeks this spring.
