  1. Today was the last day for me to fish in South Haven before I trailered my boat back to Muskegon on Sunday. We ended the day 10 for 10, with 5 kings, 3 coho, 1 steelhead, and 1 lake trout. All of our fish came from between 50-85 FOW. We left the dock around 7am, and ran out to 40FOW and started setting up on a SW troll. Our first fish came just after I finished setting the 3rd downrigger. It was about and 8lb lake trout and came on a Stinger stingray size Freakin Veggies, on a slider set 5' above the ball, set at 35'. Our next fish was a coho and came on a Stinger stinger size Spring Chicken on a slider set 5' above the ball, set at 25'. Our next fish was a coho that came on a red and black Thin Fin. This was set 100' behind the board. The next to go was a 6 color core with a Stinger stingray size Double Orange Crush. Our next fish was on a Stinger stingray size Diehard on a rigger set at 37'. This was around a 14lb king. Next to go was a full core with a Stinger stingray size Killer Dolphin. Next to go was a full core with a Stinger stingray size NBK. We picked up a nice steelhead on a #9 orange jointed Rapala. This was 100' behind a board. We picked up a king on a 2 color core with a Stinger stingray size Craigs x-mas. We picked up one more king on a 1/2 core with a Stinger stingray size Double Orange Crush. We pulled lines just after 1:30pm and headed in. So much for the NOAA forecast......1' or less. It was more like 2-4'er's. My sons did not get in on the catching action because it was to bouncy. Wyatt jumped at the chance to get his picture taken with one of the fish. This is my old bass fishing partner and coworker Rick. It was good to finally get him out on the GLF with me, so I could show him what a real fish fights like. This is our coworker Steve with a steelhead and a king. This is our catch for the day.

Yep.....Looks like this turkey has about a 10 1/4" beard. Nice job and GREAT story!
  3. Nice to see you again Rich!. I have not seen any favorable reports out of Port Sheldon yet. I fished out of South Haven today, and went 10 for 10. I am working on my fishing report now.
  4. Nothing a Stihl cant fix. Nice looking rig Sean! Lets see some pictures after you have your rod holders and riggers mounted.......and with some fish in the picture!
  5. Nice job Mark. Fresh ho for the grill!
  6. Nice job on the catching! I would like to call you by your name, but I do not know it. Can you take a minute and update your profile? There is a spot there to add your first name. Once you have your name added, it will show up on the right side in all of your posts. Thanks, Mike

If you put a check in the box next to "remember me" when you log in, you will not have to log in anymore.
  13. I run the 50khz in the shallower water, and the 200khz when I am 80' or deeper. When I am running out, I have it set on 200khz, and it does not loose contact with the bottom.
  14. Yes I would like them with my perch and walleye. I would eat them in a boat, and I would eat them with a goat. I would eat them in a house and I would eat them with a mouse. Thank you, thank you Mike-I-Am. Hmmmm....kind of sounds like Dr. Deuss.

Do you have this issue with other vbulletin sites?
  16. Thanks for the report Don. I am bringing my boat back up to Muskegon this weekend. I "may" make it out for a couple of hours.
  17. I would work the plume before I headed deeper. There has been a lot of warm rain the last couple of days, and there is a lot of run off. You may want to concentrate on the edges of it, or the "less" stained water around the edges.

Thanks Bob! This is the kind of feedback I was looking for.
  19. Nice fish Hank. Here is the tutorial on how to post pictures in a post.
  20. Nick just pointed out to me that the 23rd is also a GLFTT event. The outing will still go on as planned. I will be on channel 72 all day, and back to Fishermans Landing by 1pm to do the weigh in.

They are currently having to use mozilla to access the website. I need to address the issue, incase others are having issues getting to/finding the website.
  22. I just received a phone call from a member who uses AOL. I was told he has not been able to access the website with AOL for 2 days. Does anyone else use AOL? Is anyone else having issues accessing the site?
  23. Nice job Hank. You need to upload the images to the gallery first. You will also want to resize them before you upload them.
  24. Must have been a long cold winter, and you spent a lot of time inside.
