  1. Teams entered so far. Priorty1 JWheeler dbellor All of the lure packages need to be paid for by 30 May 2009. If you think you might want to fish this, please sign up asap so I can get you the payment information.
  2. It took me a little time to find them on Saturday. About 30 minutes after I found them, some one turned on the wind machine.
  3. Nice job Guys. I see you brought the East sider over to the West side and showed him how to "Get-er-done".
  4. Nice job Tom! Do you cheek your eyes?
  5. Give me two days to get caught up with things around here(house and website), and I will have the prices for the decals. Sorry.
  6. Nice job Mark. The images are posted as thumb nails now. When I did the last software upgrade it changed the way the image code is displayed. The code for the images shows up as a thumb nail now. I believe I am going to change this back to the way it was.
  7. I have seen a lot of reports of BIG fish this year. Maybe there will be a lot of 20lb'ers for us this year.
  8. I would check into black river park in South Haven. There is a fish cleaning station at the boat launch you can use also.
  9. Nice job Jim. You should have came out after breakfast on Saturday.
  10. I have the Stinger weights on my out and downs. I do not have any issues with tracking or tangles. I bent the tails out slightly.
  11. Nice job Kevin! Based on your catches so far this year, what do you think about the size of the fish this year?

    Nice looking rig Tom!
  13. Every 6 weeks, I have to work a weekend. This is my weekend.
  14. I did not get a chance to run it. It will probably be 2 weeks before I get another chance to go fishing.
  15. Port Sheldon is not a place to put in your boat, and there are no slips available there. We need to know the time of year, to help you out with recommended ports. St. Joe is great in April. South Haven in May. Call the Black River Park in South Haven for a slip. The only thing you need to watch for is the bridge. June is a slower month on the lake. July and August, I would have to say Grand Haven and North. Grand Haven is an expensive port to get a transient slip at. I think I paid 54 per night last year for a 27', and this was 45 minutes up river on Spring Lake. Myself, I live near Kalamazoo, but slip my boat in Muskegon. I think it takes me an extra 20 minutes to get to Muskegon than to South Haven. After May, I think the fishing is better at Muskegon. Deep water is not far out. I was in 80FOW today, and I was less than 3 miles out.
  16. I use a blacks release, and I put 10-15 twists in the line before I clip it in.
  17. Nice job Mark! Now we need to crop your image you use for an avatar. Oh wait....I think I have a picture from last year I could put in as your avatar.
  18. Acually....We did see a boat working the skinny water to the South of the piers. He was in season. Unfortunately he was not long enough, so we had to release him.
  19. Thanks for the follow up Kevin.
  20. Something interesting we saw today. We saw one of these birds floating on the lake. I thought it was dead. Just after we passed it, it stares flapping it wings and took off.
  21. I cancelled the first GLFTT event this morning because of lighting. There was also a gale warning, but this was not a factor until later in the day. After cancelling the tournament at 5:30am, a few of us got together at Papa Bears restaraunt on Apple Ave and head breakfast. We got back to the boat after breakfast and decided we were still going fishing. We cast off at 7:30am, and headed out. Around 8:00am, I pulled the throttles back at 80FOW, put us on a SW troll, and started setting lines. We trolled all the way out to 95FOW without a bump. The down temp at 40' was 44 degrees, so I turned the boat back towards shore. The down temp started climbing. When we hit 75FOW, the down temp at 40' was 47 degrees. Right away, and rigger set at 30' with a fixed slider 5' above the ball went. This was one of the smaller chinooks and it came on a Stinger stingray size Craig's x-mas. After resetting this line, a full core went. This ended up being our biggest chinook and came on a Stinger magnum size Killer Dolphin. Our next fish was another chinook, and came on a downrigger set at 40' with a Stinger magnum size Killer Blue Dolphin. This spoon never went into production, so good luck finding one. Our last fish was a lake trout and came on a 1/2 core with a Stinger stingray size craig's x-mas. Around 9:30am, someone turned the fan switch on "HI", and it started blowing hard out of the NE. OK.....maybe they were correct about the gale warning. We pulled lines and headed in. Our final tally was 4 for 4. While we were fishing, this bird landed on Mark(Just Hook'n). Glen put his finger in front of it, and it stepped on to Glens finger. Notice the lack of waves in these photos. They were 1' or less when we headed out.
  22. Nice job Mike! Those fish make your tailgate look small.
  23. Nice job Kevin and Nick! I bet that was a hoot with just the two of you on board.
  24. Nice job Terry, Roger, and Teresa
