  1. Nice job Dan! Sounds like the fishing is HOT at Ludington.
  2. Actually.....I think its a bottle of fish oil.
  3. Nice catch Peter. The other two images where not working, so I removed them from the post and the gallery. You will have to upload them again.
  4. I am "testing" the 19 strand wire on a regular rod to see what the affect will be without a twill tip, or a roller rod. In the fall I will know if it is an issue or not. If you do go with a roller rod, stay away from the cheaper rods. There have been numerous posts already about the wire getting outside the rollers and getting pinched. I heard plumkrazy uses center core rods(I may have the name wrong) for his wire diver rods. These are the rods where the line goes through the center of the rod. Maybe phil will jump in on this thread and reply.
  5. Nice job Ed! Any pictures?
  6. I agree I should be getting better reception. I was not at the helm the whole time. One of the drivers may not have been paying attention.
  7. It only snagged the fish because I sharpend it to a needle point. Remember them the next time, and I will get them back to you.

  14. Sorry Terry I do not pick up boats from Grand Haven nor Whitehall on my radio. It was suppose to be 11:30am. I corrected it.

  17. Nice job Dan! To bad you lost the one that got you tanlged up.
  18. Sunday 8 for 10 The boys and I slept on the boat Saturday night. Sunday the boys and I were joined by Sea-Mac, and a friend for work. Everyone showed up early again and we were on our way around 5:45am. We dropped in at 80FOW today and worked the 85-105FOW all day long, till we pulled the lines at 11:30am. A stingray size double orange crush was our HOT ticket today. We had this on a 2 color core and it produced 4 steelhead, with the biggest one pushing 12lbs. We picked up a couple of fish on a stingray size NITRO Fireball on a rigger. One came on a full core with a stingray size Killer Dolphin. Mike(Sea-Mac) did battle for about 45 minutes on a 53lber before it came unbuttoned about 30' behind the boat. OK.....it looked like it felt 53lbs. It was hooked in the side and was not coming in very well. I spent too much time in the sun today and for some reason, I can not remember the rest of the spoons. The warm water was pushing back in before we left.
  19. Saturday 11 for 11 The boys and I made it up to Muskegon on Saturday afternoon. We preppred the boat to head out fishing later on with Kevin and Nick Gibson, and anthonyyost. Everyone showed up early and we were on our way, way before 4pm. We motored out to 180FOW before we dropped in and set up on a West troll. Somewheres around 195FOW we picked up a steelhead This came on a half core with a stingray sized craigs x-mas. We trolled around in the 195-220FOW for about and hour without another bump, before we turned the boat back East. Somewheres on the way back in, we picked up another steelhead on the half core with the craigs x-mas. We picked up a king on a double pearl fish scale protroll with a Brushed Stainless siggs fly on a wire diver set on 3.5 with 165' on. We got in around the first set of nets to the North and the action picked up. We picked up one 13lb king on a rigger set at 98' with a stingray size NITRO FIREBALL. Here are some of other spoons that worked for us. mag blue dolphin stingray size double orange crush stingray size killer dolphin and this prototype went twice on a half core.
  20. Another day or two and the fishing will pick up. Was the spoon blue and yellow with the killer tape?
