  1. I spent the morning out on the lake. Smoother than a baby's A$$!
  2. Is this the X-4 or the old style(840)? Unfortunately, my directions for doing this with an 840 are on the boat. When setting checking your temp of the probe, make sure it is at the same depth of the temp transducer on the back of your boat.
  3. Nice job Chris. I will be on the water in the morning.
  4. Nice job on the perch Paul!
  5. Nice job Don! Those are the good eaters.
  6. Congrats Mike! I hope mom, and your new addition are doing well.
  7. 200' is approxiamately 8 miles out. It is a sharp drop off from 200'. It is probably 9-10 miles max. I am headed out there tomorrow, so I will know for sure how far 300' is. Nice job Rob!
  8. Nice job Jim! Thanks for the water temps in your report!
  9. I heard the numbers were more, but some of the fish were released. Nice job guys!
  10. Ouch!!!! I know how much a broken rib feels, so I feel for you! I broke one rib and fractured 4 transverse process bones, sprained my knee and my foot on Feb 28. My foot is still bothering me. Get rested up and try not to cough or sneeze.
  11. I would like to see the temp between 44-48 degrees.
  12. Are they getting perch out of Muskegon? I have never fished for them out of Muskegon. Where do they fish for them? How many FOW?
  13. The cranes are in this area every year. Last year they had two babies, and before they were old enough to fly, the babies came up missing. Two years ago they had two, and one of them made it.
  14. My iphone does not have a zoom, so as you can tell by the photos, I was really close. I got within 1' of the little guy for the photos. As soon as I left, mom and dad sandhill crane came back.
  15. We were over at some friends house tonight, and I looked out the window and saw a couple of sandhill cranes and two babies. So....I grabbed my iphone and headed out to see if I could get close enough to get a couple of pictures. Once they saw me coming, the babies dashed into the tall weeds. After a few minutes of looking around, and about to give up, I spotted this little guy.
  16. Dan, I really like the 19 strand so far. It is very limp, more like mono. I am trialing it on a 9' medium action rod, with ceramic eyes, and no twill tip. I will probably replace my 7 strand wire rods with it this winter.
