  15. 1. I'm worried about mercury contamination. Should I skip fish altogether? Absolutely not. "You should be much more nervous about how you're risking your health if you don't eat fish," says Dariush Mozaffarian, M.D., a cardiologist at the Harvard School of Public Health, who co-authored a recent study analyzing the pros and cons of fish consumption. "Seafood is a key source of heart-healthy lean protein—everyone should aim to have two servings per week." And if you choose varieties rich in omega-3 fatty acids, such as tuna or salmon, you can reduce your risk of death from a heart attack by 36 percent, according to Mozaffarian's research. These fatty acids also play a crucial role in infants' brain development and may help lessen depression in adults. Read the whole story here... I eat my share of salmon every year. :D
  16. Way to put the smack down on the eyes Dennis! Did you cheek them?
  17. Welcome to the website Dusty. Unfortunately, there has not been any reports in this area in a long time. Part of the reason is because we do not have a lot of members from this area. The site is growing daily. If a few reports were posted in this section, it may take off. Water temps are a very important part of fishing on the Great Lakes. Chinook prefer cooler water temps. Look for temps in the 42-48F degree range. You will catch fish in temps up to 54F degrees, but this is not their preferred temp. Find the right water temps, and you will put fish in the boat.
  18. I would like to get at least 20 boats in this this year.
  19. Must have been nice getting away from the every day grind, and CELL PHONES! Great pictures as always!
  20. I was visiting the people where I took those pictures today. One of the babies is missing now.
  21. Its good that you got the one. Hopefully the fishing picks up by next weekend.
