  1. At the time, it was a 53lb'er!
  2. I have boated 132 fish so far this year. I had one lake trout with a scar, and did not see any sea lamprey on any of the fish! Cudo's to the DNR for keeping them under control!
  3. Nice job Dan! What are you using for bait?
  4. Thanks for summerizing the events Jim!
  5. Fished last night with 1 MAINIAC aboard the GLF. We ended up 3 for 5. One 16.5lb king and two lakers we threw back. Since I cancelled the Great Lakes Fishermans Challenge yesterday, I decided to put the new spoons to use. My son Wyatt caught the very first fish ever caught on the GLF spoon! It was a 23" laker that we released. Right at dark things got exciting. What a mess. Unfortunately there was only 2 adults in the boat. We pulled lines after we got the big king in and headed in. This king came on a Stinger NITRO Natural Born Killer.
  6. Nice job out there last night Jeff! Nice chatting with at the dock last night.
  7. Nice job Rob. Great looking brown!
  8. The blow date has been cancelled also. Please see this post for how to get your lure package and your tournament entry fee refunded.
  9. OK.....Since the Great Lakes Fisherman's Challenge is cancelled, I will fill in the blanks to my report. Thursday we fished in front of Duck Lake. All of the fish came from 120-150FOW. Full cores with 4oz Dive Bombs took 2 fish. Riggers set at 87 went 3 times. Rigger set at 110 went once. Wire diver on 1 with a mag ring set at 250' went twice. wire diver on 1 with a mag ring, set at 200' went once. Some how, I managed to miss the nets. I shut down in the dark between 2 sets of nets. I had "heard" they were further South. We went on a West troll and hooked up with a couple of fish. Then we turned South and hooked up with a few more. Turned the boat to the inside to head North and ALMOST put it in a net. We went around this net and continued North, where we found another net. The fish gods were looking out for me this day.
  10. The 2009 Great Lakes Fisherman's Challenge has been cancelled for BOTH days. Mother nature did not cooperate with us this year. The forecast is for 3-5' waves on Sunday morning, with winds blowing 15mph to 25mph out of the Southwest. Half of the boats entered in this years challenge are 20' and less. Everyone will get their lure package and a refund of their entry fee. I will be in Muskegon tonight by 5pm. Give me a call if you would like to pick up your lure package. If you are not from the Muskegon area, send me your shipping information in a private message, and I will ship you your lure package and refund you the $30 entry fee(minus the cost of shipping). There will be a Great Lakes Fisherman's Challenge at the same time next year. Mike 269-207-8024
  11. Sorry Frank.....I should have worded it this way. How many walleye have been put in your boat this year?
  12. When I thought up this spoon, I was working off Stingers Metallic Frog. The Metallic Frog has metallic dust in it. I had them make it with the blue from the Blue Machine, and the yellow from the Bumble Bee, and no metallic dust. I was not aware of the metallic frog until you made this post. I spoke with DIRTY DOG today, and he told me Silver Streak makes it. So....I checked out Silver Streak's website. Yes, the GLF is "similar" to the Metallic Glow Frog. There are differences. It was never my intention to create a spoon that looks like someone elses spoon.
  13. Nice job Robert. Those 5lb'ers are the best eaters!
  14. Nice job Justin! Make sure you bring your camera.
  15. I am a little confused on this. The one male was 20.6" when it was tagged 4 years ago. You caught it and it was around 21" 4 years later? Do the male walleyes stop growing?
  16. Nice box of feesh!!!!!
  17. Nice job Frank! Now for the million dollar question. How many walleye have you caught this year?
