  1. Matt, I believe all of the dive bomb sizes use the same plug. There are replacement plugs available, and they come in 4 packs. I know D & R Sports in Kalamazoo stocks them. You might want to check witha bait and tackle shop near you that sells Stinger products. If they dont have them, they can get them.
  2. How can I be out of money........I still have checks in my check book!
  3. Great shots Peter. Unfortunately, the boat will be up river from the bridge.
  4. Nice job Ken. Hopefully your wife is feeling better soon.
  5. Nice job of catching. Very little boat traffic this time of year.
  6. Nice job Dennis.
  7. Its DUCK season. Nice job Adam!
  8. Nice job Eric! I am going to try and get back out again this weekend.
  9. If its not broken and works properly, why replace it?
  10. The boys and I were joined by DIRTY DOG and we made a morning trip out of Muskegon. We left the dock at 9am and pulled lines at 12:30pm. It was a nice day to be on the lake! We ended up 8 for 9 and had 1 knock that did not hook up. 4 Steelhead, 3 kings, and 1 coho. This is Hunter and his steelhead. We worked around the first set of nets to the North, and fished 120-150FOW. The fish on the surface, down to 80'. Here is what worked. Full core with a Stingray size Green Cory's bait on a full core was 2 for 3. Wire diver with a mag ring on #3 with 200' of line out with a green bubble prochip 8 and a Siggs Rigs Trophy fly went twice. Rigger parked at 45' with 100' behind the ball with a Stingray size blue mixed veggies. Rigger parked at 38' with 100' behind the ball with a Stingray size Craigs x-mas. Rigger parked at 55' with a Stingray size NBK went once and had a knock off. 7 color with a Stingray size prototype went once. Unfortunately we forget to take a picture of the catch back at the dock. We will be back next weekend..........weather permitting.
  11. The X-4 probe is the way to go! It will work with the 840 head unit. I have the X-4 probe with the 840 head unit. It has less blow back and uses 4 AA batteries instead of a single 9v. There is a double seal, so water leakage is not an issue at all. It has a couple of probes that stick out the front, and when its in the water, it turns it on. So....you do not have to turn it upside down to turn it off or remove the batteries. I run 15-20 trips before I change the batteries in the probe.

    Bayou Blast Seasoning

I always remove the skin. Underneath the skin is a small layer of brown fatty material. I remove this brown material also. This brown fatty layer is what gives fish a strong undesireable taste. A little extra time prepping your catch goes a long way at the dinner table.
  13. I will be out in the morning.

    Bayou Blast Seasoning

I got the recipe from Just Hook'n.
  15. Wife wants the boat and boys closer to home. Guess I know who wears the pants in the family. South Haven is only 40 minutes from our house instead of the 1 hour and 20 minutes to Muskegon.
  16. Its looking like the GLF will be located in South Haven for 2010. I have verbally committed to a slip. Now I just need to make sure the owner is not putting his boat in next season.
  17. Nice job Dan! Do you know where the walleye with the band came from?
  18. Great post Dave! This winter I am going through my reels. I ordered a dozen clickers for replacements, as I have a few that are not working. Maybe this is why I slap people on the back of the neck when they dont turn the clicker off. I will also be lubricating all of the bearings.
  19. I was in the same shoes 3 years ago. It seemed like it took an eternity for spring to come.
