    My boat is slipped all summer, so I do not hit a variety of ports. I did have it down to South Haven for a couple of weeks, and the rest of the season it was in Muskegon.

    I have not ice fished in close to 10 years. Does the 3 rod rule apply to tip ups also?

    You will have to try it and check for vibrations. You may need to come up with something with some sort of vibration dampener. The one problem I ran into, is that it seems like someone is always standing in front of the camera.

    I have played around with camcorders and webcams on my boat. The biggest issue I have come across is how to get the whole back of the boat in the image. I have a wide angle lens on my camcorder, and it is still not wide enough. You will need to come up with a way of mounting it to your boat to stablize the image. Then you have to worry about boat vibrations.

    I am thinging about putting together an ice fishing outing on Muskegon Lake sometime in February. There will will also be some sort of fishing contest...maybe multiple contests. How many of you would be interested in this?

    I believe the dnr is doing the best they can. There are numerous other issues they are trying to deal with also, like trying to save our 9 billion dollar fishing industry. ie...big head carp, silver heads. Their hands are tied when it comes to the wolves. Maybe Obama will "change" the status of them.

    I tried this on walleye today. I did not like it.

    These are bass fishing lures. Seems like in the commercial I saw for them years ago, they also cranked them along the surface as a surface bait. I believe this is one of those lures that caught more fisherman than fish. You wont know for sure until you try them.

    When trolling for walleyes after dark, how far off the bottom(rough idea) are you targeting your baits? Do you have any luck with shallow diving baits running just below the surface?

    I am going to head to the store this week to pick up some walleye baits. I just looked through the lures again that nailer(Ken) posted in my other thread. It looks like all of them have rattles except one. Does the non rattle bait ever out produce the rattle baits?
