27 March is the day I hope to put my boat in the water. I hope my new marina will be opened up by then. There is very little ice on the Southern end of Lake Michigan. Oh yeah........I am ready to go feeshing!

D & R Sports will be selling an 8'6" medium action rod and a line counter reel for $29, while supplies last. The also will have a GREAT deal on Church walley boards. I am not sure on this years price, but their current price is $21.99, and they will be going for less at the show. Last year I think they were around $18 each. I have been running the pancakes on the outside for 2 years without an issue. I have a 10' beam and run 3 riggers. Put a 3-5 degree bend in the tail and you will be all set. It seems like the guys with the lighter boats are the ones that have issues with the pancakes.

Its impossible to prevent someone from trying to cheat in a tournament. This includes the tournaments on the tournament trail. Too many rods, leaders to long, catching and releasing fish, etc, etc, etc.... What you have to remember, is that a BIG needs to be caught first. Once a BIG fish is caught, then the bragging and such begins amongst friends, which make it even harder. Anyone can catch a big fish. The more time spent on the water increases ones odds of winning. Its the people who spend the most time on the water that have the best chance. People who are serious about the LOC tourney will take a week off work and spend the whole week fishing. What about pier fisherman? Can they get in this also? I recomment ending this around the 2nd week of August instead of going to Labor Day before the run begins. When the fish stage in Muskegon Lake before the run, its a snag fest! Hopefully the weigh in people will inspect for fowl hooked fish.

Hey Peter.....D & R Sports has replacement tips. Bring the rod with you and make sure you get the correct one.

I tweaked some of the settings for the software and made some other changes. Hopefully this will speed the website back up and keep it zipping along! One of the settings I changed was the thread view information. This will now update after 15 minutes instead of any time someone viewed a thread. I personally enjoyed the fact that I was able to see when a thread was viewed immediately, but there was a price to pay in performace for this feature. I have everything optimized for page loading speed now!

Make sure you are comparing oranges to oranges. I have been with Progressive since I purchased my boat. I am going to check Boat US to see what their prices are for the same policy I have with Progressive.

I received a phone call today from someone and they told me my voice mail box was full. I have not received a voice mail in months. So I called my number and checked......Yep.....it was full. No wonder why I have not had any voice mails. I have messages from 4 September! I called AT&T about it, and they wanted to reset my mailbox. Ummmmm.....NO. I told them there might be some important messages, so I am going through them. After I go through all of the messages, then I will let them reset my mailbox. If you left me a message and I did not respond, it was because I never got your message. Sorry.... I have gone through 20 so far, and I am up to the beginning of Dec.

Dont go cheap on the antenna. Do youself a favor and spend the money on a good shakespear.

I vote for South Haven on April 17th. Last year we were in South Haven on 18 April. Besides.....My boat will be in South Haven.
