  4. OMG! I want to go to Alaska!
  5. I ran the boat from South Haven to St. Joseph(23 from South Haven pier head to St. Joseph pier head) and fished today. We shut down 3 miles South of the piers, and set up and went South. We ended the day 22 for 23. We fished 15-25FOW. We trolled all the day down to the power plant. We picked up 20 fish on this troll. We pulled lines ran back a couple miles north of the A-frames and trolled back down to the A-frames before we pulled lines and ran back to South Haven. Catch These are the baits that worked for us today. Our hottest bait was a 4" protroll prochip4 red sparkles flasher with a Siggs Rigs Blue Green & Gold Crinkle coho candy on a 3 color core. This went 7 times! I have this set up with the fly 9" behind the flasher. The clown colored husky jerk went 5 times, orange jointed rapala went a few times, red and black thin fin went a few times, blue and chrome thin fin went a couple of times, emerald shiner husky jerk went once, and the clown colored x-rap went once. Baits Our GPS speed was 2.7-3.2mph into the waves.
  6. Good to hear the shake down went well. Nice job on the adjustment! Always nice being able to dock the boat without the engine quiting.

  12. Dont let the price of the boat make your decision.
  13. Well I have been chomping at the bit since I put my boat in the water a week ago Monday to go fishing. After work yesterday, it was time to do the shake down. I met Greg and his son at the boat, and we were on our way around 4:15pm. The boat ran like a top! We ran almost to Palisades, turned around, and ran almost 1/2 mile North of the piers and dropped in to start setting lines on a South troll. The first fish was a lake trout on a clown colored x-rap on a high line. The lake trout was returned to the water. The second fish was a jack on a chrome and blue #9 Husky Jerk on a high line. The third fish was a brown trout on a blue and chrome thin fin on a high line. The last fish was another jack on a stinger size craig's x-mas on a rigger parked at 8' and 75' behind the ball. All of our fish came from 10-23' FOW. We pulled lines at 7:30pm to head in. It was a beautiful day to be on the lake, other than someone having the wind machine turned on hi! Not bad for 2 hours of feeshing!
  14. Great job Scott! I will be in St. Joseph on Friday. Here is a tutorial on how to upload and put a picture in a post.
  15. Yep, bridge boats look great in the water, but not worth a hoot for fishing out of. My father had a bridge boat back in the 80's when he chartered. The first day of fishing in the wind or in 3-5' waves and you will know why you dont want a bridge boat! Dont purchase something you will regret within a year.
  16. Nice job Cory. Always a good feeling starting off he season with with fish in the cooler.
  17. My vote is for South Haven......Thats where my boat is slipped. Now if I can just find someone to swap weekends with me at work so I can play on this day.

  19. Welcome aboard Katrina. I have seen you lurking around for a long time. Thanks for finally making a post. I would haul your boat down to St. Joseph on Friday and Saturday if I was you. The coho will be snapping this weekend, and everyone should catch a lot of fish! If you have any questions, dont be afraid to ask. Mike
