Went fishing after work yesterday out of South Haven. I was joined by Terry(DIRTY DOG), Craig, Mick, and Dale, and we ended up 11 for 12. We lost the one fish at the back of the boat, because the net was hung up on a boat cleat on the side of the boat. We worked 135-145FOW until it was almost dark, then put it on an East troll and trolled into 80FOW and pulled lines. On the East troll, we picked up a couple of fish in 130-120FOW.
Picked up one king on an 11" Protroll double fishscale paddle with a Siggs Rigs Brushed Stainless fly, on a rigger parked at 90'.
We also caught fish on the following Stingray sized spoons.
"GLF" on a full core.
Blue Dolphin on a full core.
Mixed Veggies on a 1/2 core.
Blue Dolphin on a rigger parked at 40'. (This rigger had the carmel dolphin as a slider and was the hottest)
Carmel Dolphin on a fixed slider on a rigger parked at 40'.
NITRO Fireball on a rigger parked at 40'.
NITRO Shockwave on a fixed slider on a rigger parked at 60'.
As I was walking along the dock before we went out, I heard these peeps coming from below, and looked down. I saw 3 baby ducks stranded in a zodiac.
I climbed into he zodiac and gave the babbies a hand.
MOMMY.....Hear I come!
Happy duck family.
