  1. I think the people that carry chocolate covered bananas around fishing shows are going to kill the site before Don
  2. Thanks for helping out Don.
  3. So I found out that I'm going to have a class through the end of June on Thursday nights which means it won't be able to fish the first two events of the series, but I would still like to fish the last three. I'm wondering if someone else would be interested in subbing for me for these two events. Shoot me a PM if you are interested. Thanks, Ben
  4. Bags!!!
  5. Looks like a nice rig!
  6. It was a great morning to be out, Thanks for the ride Dave
  7. Thanks for the report Jeff.
  8. Ken, Per my previous post I had it on for four days and it ran until the battery in the boat was dead (not sure if the clutch was slipping or not). The next trip out the rigger went down fine but stopped after coming up 10 ft. A minute later, it came up another 10 feet and stopped. I had the motor apart a few times trying to fix it and it doesn't start and stop anymore, but it runs really slow. As I said, not a problem with the rigger quality, just abuse.
  9. I did try calling him a couple of times today and the line was busy both times. Also, I should note for people looking at riggers, I love my Walkers. The only reason I have the problems is my own fault in that I accidentally hit the up switch while cleaning the boat one night and the rigger was "running" for four days strait.
  10. Thanks for the info both Brian and Joe, I guess I'll call him again today and see.
  11. I've been trying to get in touch with the service center for a few weeks (have a motor going out on one of the riggers) and haven't been able to get thru. I've left a few messages and haven't got calls back. Anyone worked with them recently? Just wondering if they aren't servicing them anymore from that location and just haven't disconnected the number or what. Thanks, Ben
  12. I have a 24' Slickcraft and run 2 36" bags, but mine is fiberglass and i'm not sure what difference that would make in desired size. I got mine from Lakeshore Outfitters in Saugatuck. There are also some places online where you can get them.
  13. For anyone who may be considering this, I ordered the ignition that Don put the link to. However, my motor has a Mercruiser distributor, not a Prestolite, so the one I have won't work. I ordered a new one but have no use for the other so if anyone wants it, let me know.
  14. The Salmon Seminar is Saturday morning at 10:30.
  15. There is a thread similar to this in the WMFL section and I'd like to know if there's anyone in the Muskegon league who would be looking for additional crew members on tournament days. I would love to fish the tournaments, but it would be a real hassle for me to pull my boat there every time. If anyone needs a rider I'd love to come along.
  16. Say Don, wanna redo the vinyl in my boat for me? Looks great, I especially like the hardtop. Out of curiosity, what motor specifically does it have in it (I bought the ignition kit you did but it doesn't fit, i think because it's an older motor, still trying to get a hold of Pertronix and find out what one I need) Did the boat come the the electronics or were they added afterward?
  17. +1 for Marks comment. I avoid buying stuff online at all costs. I'm willing to pay a little extra at a local shop because the service, advice, and long term friendships are worth it.
  18. I run a 300ft 45lb Bloodrun setup out of Holland with the same other lines that you do and do well on it.
  19. Speaking from personal experience, Ken's method of offering prizes for using the sponsor provided lures works. In my case I got a spoon from Big Lake Lures that I used all day and got most of my fish on. Had there not been a prize offered, I probably would have just used spoons that I was more comfortable running but now I have confidence in them and use them all the time. Along the same lines, if a company is sponsoring an event and giving tackle packages, they should try to give tackle that has been proven to work, not just what they have lying around in the shop because no one buys it. Just my two cents.
  20. You gonna be hanging out at the Outdoorsman booth again Josh?
  21. The first weekend of March is the Outdoorsman's annual spring fishing sale and I know they put all of their Okuma products on sale. Normally they will have the same prices there as you can get at the show.
